I think I have found a bug. Not sure though. The proc from the new ranged weapon on enginier which is called accuracy 7 and gives 3% crit chance doesn't stack with tracer rounds tactic. Which makes the weapon 100% useless.
I have thought that tactics don't stack with other tactics. But in this case that's weapon proc AND tactic
Would like to get a comment on it
Procs are abilities, and abilities don't stack with similar abilities (highest value wins in this case), so this is on track.

How does tracer rounds, a tactic that gives a passive buff, count as an ability? Like surely it should stack with procs right?

Tracer Rounds is a "tactic" buff though, right?
Or does the condition of being near a Turret (ability) classify it as an "ability" buff? It does have the NonStackingFlag which is why it does not stack with Accuracy VII atm.
The wording treats the (proximity to the) turrets as a condition, and not as the source of the buff. If Masterful Treachery is treated as a "tactic" buff then I don't see how Tracer Rounds wouldn't be. If it's meant to be, at least the wording should be reworked to something like "Your turrets now provide you with an additional...".

I'll ask the balance team.

Exactly my thoughts. Why do masterful aim (tactic) And e.g. buff from RP for ballistics stack, and tracer rounds don't stack with the weapon proc buff?
Update: I have extra tested: Tracer rounds don't stack with new m1 either (+10% crit does not apply here either).
Furthermore: tracer rounds don't stack with the triumphant proc anymore either. Always did. Just killed the main engi aoe build here.
I really don't understand why a tactic doesn't stack with item procs (abilities?)here

Also, I see the same triumphant proc which gives crit on Magus triumphant. Does it stack with Chaos unleashed tactic from magus (gives 15% crit chance)? If it does - then the case with the tracer rounds is a bug and has to be fixed

There’s been other odd ones for a while.
+WS proc from Tri set for SW never stacked with +WS from Wrist Slash tactic.
Unsure if that’s intentional or not, but it always rendered half of the Wrist Slash tactic useless if you slot Tri gear.
@Rydiak - could you please check with balance team as well? Thanks.

Yeah, I think it should stack. There are other tactics like increased auto attack speed or armor pierce that do stack with that kind from armor and procs, right? Passive tactic + passive items + ability (proc/cast) should stack

Tracer rounds adds a crit aura to your turret ability, additionally to +dmg% and new unique buffs, and therefor counts as ability buff and is in conflict with weapon/set procs.
Imo buffs/properties granted by tactics generally should always stay in the tactic category (displayed as green tactic icon buff/debuff) cause well, you use a tac slot up for it.

Then it should stack with other crit giving tactics like the one from SW. But so far I see it is intentionally made unstackable:
"Engineer:
Tracer Rounds: No longer stacking with other tactics."
So tracer rounds is considered to be a tactic by the dev team
