That's the thing, you could create an SC that literaly doubles the exp/renown if you enter as a premade, shower premades with emblems and you'll still won't see any major increase in the number of premades.

How do you know that?

We can never know until we try this isn't like Live the only way to know for sure is to try and monitor the real numbers guesstimates and anecdotal evidence neither support nor debunk the idea.

I'd be the first one to properly stir up **** if various forms (pigform, bearform, ...) were introduced as rewards. *cough*

Its cosmetics or bust, essentially. Displaying a ladder/epeen with shinies > displaying it as an actual ladder, people tend to be pretty sensitive about numbers for some reason and turn salty rather quickly. Not to mention the exclusion based on rating and such, RoR has a too tiny community to stoke these fires.

I read somewhere that developers clearly says that they are not interested in increasing sc rewards or anything else, because even if there would be no rewards at all people will still be queueing them.
But without any doubt it would be great to have increased rewards and less corean grind.
