Well, if the intent of the system is to discourage funneling, i dont see why making it work only on keeps betrays the original intent.

Currently you are discouraged from showing in the zone at all if you have aoo and they have the BOs, you cant realistically defend the keep and will only increase their rewards, the only smart move there is to not play at all. Any attempt to cap BOs now only doesnt have to fight against the fact that they have more people, you also get a debuff, that is insane.

They not only have numbers to spare and split to defend the BOs, they also get increased damage and defense, you are creating a snowball effect where a slight win becomes a stomp.

If it only worked on the people inside the keep then it is still a measure against funneling and you are now encouraged to go cap BOs, there is no debuff there, there is also no problem whatsoever for the roaming groups, they can keep doing what they are doing without problems.

As it stands right now, it doesnt balance population problems, it makes them even worse, one side gets hit by AOO and a debuff and the other gets a free path for keep captures and zone locks.

Whatever realm has the damage buff helps either side defending or taking keeps ?
If so then its not one sided ,its fair game! It forces player to play outside the box ,that is just at the keep and BO's become more prioritized !

Bloodi has no interaction with me outside of the forums and whatever occasions during which we meet in game. I listen to people who offer me reasoned and constructive breakdowns of concepts I implement.

No more than say, Karast, who suggested both limiting the area to keeps and that the buff/debuff %s might be too high, and they were accordingly halved as of the hotfix.

When you give things a shot and come in with thoughtful and reasonable suggestions based on actual observation and realistic scenarios, we do try to listen. So many people will jump in immediately to say, "this sounds great" or "This is awful and will be the end of all things" without giving it a shot, that it really skews perceptions on both sides of the equation.

But really Bloodi is my spirit animal.

I tried to get special treament asking him to create healer bots for me when we are scs without none and make my sometimes way too long sc queues pop and he never does it.

I hate the guy.

Also the work only around keeps idea is from Rags but he likes ponies so we dont talk about him.

A bit of feedback.

Would be nice if you could change the Icon from the same one as AAO to something different.

It was easy to identify the incoming damage increase. But i didn't see anything about outgoing damage decrease.

Also, would like to see the debuffs/buffs moved to the BO and Keep areas, this will protect the integrity of the solo ganker / small scale fighting

They are adding several major changes all in one patch, I myself remain cautiously positive.
The ingoing/outgoing buffs are one thing, the changes to rewards around Objectives and Keeps are another.

One is implemented as a pity balance, the other is something to actively promote RvR (including the hometurf advantages).

The buff info is in the client. That means the icon, buff border, name and tooltip entries cannot be changed.

Diminishing Rations has two entries: the first is for the zerg warning and the second is for the incoming damage debuff. I cannot use it to display the outgoing damage debuff.

The recent changes, as part of the reward calculation mechanics, contain various measures to ensure that players who fight off BOs and Keeps but whose actions contribute to taking or holding them are rewarded appropriately, mostly through the defense tick and personal capture reward. I do not wish to force people to fight directly on BOs, especially if it is optimal to fight elsewhere.
