i am very eager to test this build
http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=eng ... 8:;0:0:0:0:

till now i used http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=eng ... 2:;0:0:0:0:
i got pretty good results but the negative point of the build is that to deal true damage you need to be pretty static
Mostly harmless

I guess that is the main problem with the whole engineer career :D
I'm looking forward for moar ST ideas for engi, somehow I'm seeing less and less of them in T4

well for sc's is okish since there is always a safe spot even if that mean being spawncamped or doing it yourself.
at orvr you got also safe spot at the keeps, at open that build is super unreliable and could do ok only for mass fights where both sides are relativity equal.

otherwise you could try grenadier + tinkerer but imo u need a group for that since u will stay at fronline /and no, i dont mean being just a magnetbot.../

I was afraid you would say that, wanted to make 1v1 solo roaming engi but guess it's not worth the effort and i would end up being cannon fodder
Maybe I'll try solo-runie-dps insetad :D

1v1 is decent but with tinkerer. You got self heal quite good sustain damage, self heal /keg/ and can be tough enough to outlast most classes. It is just more tricky, you need to putm ore effort to achieve similar results as other classes

Wont your Bal/WS be too low without Masterful Aim/Fighting Chance?

it is possible, still not 40 to try it. But if Bal is low i could swap cordinate fire for masterfull aim or use more renown for bal. Fightin chance i dont like.... dull way to try to fix the class? good job mythic...

If you do BS set like merc, and then tali's and renown you can hit cap without both MA / FC.

There are a few interesting specs you can try, but as an engi your a turret if you are going ST.

I tend to run this spec.

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=eng ... 2:;0:0:0:0:

Full rifle for the base ability damage to snipe, and then I get LR for when I need to do some close up aoe.

But there are a few other builds I do.

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=eng ... 2:;0:0:0:0:

Similar but with more grenade.

A very different style of build that works well in small scale roaming / scenarios is this grenade / rifle build.

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=eng ... 9:;0:0:0:0:

It looks a bit strange but your main dps skill is firebomb. You want as fast a rifle as you can find. Handcrafted scope works well, since this build is about time stamping. Put 3 dots up, and then spam firebomb with autoattacks in between. It works well but is rough on the AP. With cap BS you can get firebombs critting 800-900 add in a 400-500 autoattacks and 1-2 dot crits, and it is good damage.

crack shot do tons of damange and it is decent CC. I would sacrifice one point from tinkerer for it.
Imo WOM is mandatory but prolly that is a playstyle choise

I am split on it personally when it comes to crackshot. I typically run with a WH or SW so they bring their own knock downs, and I have landmine as well so the shared immunity means I don't get much out of it, and if I wanted to use it on a ranged dps like SH it is very situation. Since SH have their own, with a shorter cast time.

For WOM if I am in snipe I am turreting so I don't need to move the turret often, but honestly I do not like using the turrets. I have a few bad habits from early launch when we didn't have the dps buff. Rather than standing next to the turret I keep it away to allow it to fire at enemies backs or do dps while I LOS them. If you put gun turret in a bush, or up and tree a lot of people will run to it thinking your close by. It is an effective strategy.
