What annoys the hell out of me is that these threads get cited as "well it was discussed for 20+ pages", as if anyone's going to read a 20-page whine thread about whatever class (classes, really, these threads
always derail) someone deems to be OP today.
Nothing wrong with class balance, but with all the trolling and derailing going on I don't think the forum is a very productive place for this right now.
Maybe it's just a morale thing.
Maybe they should buy one of those +4 morale cloaks, I hear they're nice

why not you go and start play destro to see everything by yourself?
I played Destro on live for 3 years (rr100 heal dok and rr95 BG) NA servers. Destro's "weakness" was not class imbalance but more of a reluctance to form up and coordinate. Order did not seem to have much of an issue with leadership.

I think this post is pretty good too. I mained destro on live as well. I never felt weak. Maybe it was because I played a chosen? Honestly the only classes that I think are weak are BO/SM. They just feel unfinished to me. I played a BO to rr60s on live and gave it up for the chosen. I haven't played an SM until RoR. Feels a lot like like BO.
But back to the topic, by all means, swap shatter limbs into the tree with the heal debuff and the positional. I'm all about it. ID is mostly fluff damage anyway.

ID is not just fluff damage... it is what makes the Slayer AoE tree their best ST tree as well.

Yeah, you use it for single target. because there's nothing else single target in that tree, any other damage outside of your main target is bonus. You spec that tree for damage from ID, coupled with the push for more tactic for single target, not so flurry and onslaught are super good.

Again i see a destro equivalent utterly underestimated.
Chop Fasta does not only counter SL for 20s, it also prevents many orderclasses from doing dmg and healdebuffing. Applying a necessary dot does no dmg most of the time, ignite boiling blood, sw dots, engi dots, onslaught SL to name some. This prevents dmg because gcds are wasted into op dok cleanse or st cleanse ( nice synergy with sham).
With a ttk like we have it atm and the inability for order to hd and pressure within the 20s I would say the cd of 2 mins is justified due to its long duration.

assuming order wb have 1x slayer in very party and destru have have 1 choppa in every party
choppam fasta--> 20 sec on 2 min cd in every party (edited i wrote 10 sec for error)
shatter limbs---->40 seconds on a 20 sec CD on enemy wb (which is a lot better)
how is suppose to prevent those if i have always debuffed? kinda 100% of the time likewise order wb wont both SL front line before just rush on healer using shatter limbs to shut down our aoe heals.
Way also does always destro do their party countering something order have? we always have to counter you which make our party composition very strict.
Then aoe choppa is not an optimal damage dealer as slayer is and with the 100% update time of SL on front lines bomb sorc with choppa fasta is not possible.
want a real balance? shatter limbs should be x2 of choppa fasta coldown for every slayer you have in wb! cos with 1 choppa x party you will always have only 10sec on 2 min cd, it's pretty much bad ppl donsen't see the fallacity of choppa fasta vs a shatter limbs.
choppa fasta:
-is party relegated to max 20 sec active /2min CD (edited: i wrote 10 sec as error)
-buff 6 ppl
-on a bad path
-no use for choppa
shatter limbs:
-can be applied multiple time by more slayer--> 20sec active /20 sec CD
-debuff 9 ppl
-is in the best aoe melee path
-great use for slayer and all his wb since 5 sec >CD increase mean no aoe spam no aoe cleanse and so easier kill with aoe.
