I am looking to do something like the build Coryphaus laid out, but I can't until T3/More levels are released. Is it still viable at current cap? Or is it more advisable to wait for the cap to rise, because I see the synergy with Parry,Oppressive blows (crits), Crippling strikes (reduced Inc dmg after crit) and Rugged (toughness Tactic) but can't utilize 1/3 of it.

That's why I was looking to roll another class as well, whom doesn't have all of their potential gated until T3/T4 while I wait, or if I like the class play it as a main after cap is raised as well.
Chosen 2H is pointless until you can get OB and RB. In fact, the difference in dps between a 1h and 2h at this level doesn't improve your globals much.

its the best of the bad in my opinion cause i reaaally dont feel chosen should be running anything besides SnB simply because much like 5s kd DfV is just soo good

if BG had cave in mirror on blade of ruin then then 2h bg could perhaps be the best 2h tank on destro

So is Black Orc in a place currently where they are definably better than their SnB brethren at doing damage? or are they just as close as Chosen compared to other Chosen? And do they lose too much to make running one worth it at current lvl cap?

I'm not sure about sustained dps, but black orcs have very high burst damage among tanks in this game. Due to class mechanic it's not spammable though.

Anyway, it's mostly about ranks 30+ as you're gonna need three tactic slots and a finisher from da brawler tree. It's pretty much the same about all tanks since you'll have to stack up some strength and pick abilities deep in DPS trees to actually hurt people. Unfortunately, by that time mdps classes will pack some nasty debuffs and you won't feel that tough against them.

Once again, don't think about it as a pure dps concept — if you're after killing blows you'll do better as a marauder or a choppa. Being a tank means you gotta support people and provide tank utility.

Black Orc is your best bet before tier 3. You can have the crit chance tactic at least.

Two hander dps IB got that nasty deeps with over whelming dots and abilities that give strength, crit, weapon skill, auto attack haste(this is key for a two handed dps and nice for a tank to have), armor debuff and great weapon mastery. All that plus group utility, still being tough and loads of cc. I find them to be natural DB monsters to boot.

I thought we were talking destro tanks here. But Edenwolf is right — 2h IBs have it all.

I remember squishies dying within a duration of a single cave-in if you approach em with 100 grudges

Late game 2h BG is close to meh, Crimson Death does not justify loosing Block, HTL and KD. Sure, it can be fun (and I bet every 80RR+ tried 2H ;-) but quite limited. And only defence skill left - Elite Training is close to joke: working for only 4 attacks means it lasts 0.314159 GCD ;-). But in some special circumstances it added some nice dmg to party (Eternal Citadel was so quick, small space - there was no time for kiting/blocking/soaking dmg for too long)

http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=bg; ... 3:;0:0:0:0:

50% aa haste, highest wounds debuff in the game and you can apply in an aoe , un detauntable, crit on spend hate, durability with good base willpower + buff and durability with shield of rage and bolstering anger, anti crit ability, non tactic needing super punt

BG has the potential to be an extremely strong 2h tank, all they need is a kd in the 2h path like blade of ruin if was turned into a cave in mirror

or spiteful slam was changed to proc on parry instead of block

IBs have always been the poster child for a 2H tank class. This is actually funny since Swordmaster was supposed to be that, not that Swordmaster is bad, it just doesn't have the damage AND utility like IB does.

Blackguard? They have some cool stuff, some of it pretty meaningful. There are a lot of puzzle pieces missing to become what the IB is. I don't want to TL;DR this, but a mirror to Guarded Attack would be nice, a Cave-In mirror on Blade of Ruin (IB's have a mirror to Spiteful Slam, it's not 5s but it also doesn't scale with Hate/Grudge, the one thing in their kit that doesn't? lol), Wave of Scorn swapped with Elite Training, etc, etc.

The only thing a BG has that the IB doesn't is a shield that absorbs all damage types (instead of just magic) and spammable aoe with a Wounds debuff if spec'd. And I mean..do we even mention Runic Shield? It costs Grudge, sure, but it also refunds its entire cost if hit by 2 magic attacks, which is the sole purpose of the ability, so it's free most of the time, AND it affects your Oath Friend. PHEW. The tooltip on the ability is longer than my high school creative writing project, can we just add 50% move speed to it too?

/rambleoff

The list of things that an IB has is too long to even start, and sadly most of them work incredibly well compared to basically any other tank.
