Oi! Good to have you on the team Buttbeard!
Your choice really depends on whether you favor roaming the RVR lakes by yourself, or if you'd rather do great damage with your group mates by your side. I've tried them both out, but I play marauder primarily. Simply because a legitimate 1v1 is what I appreciate most of all in this game. Note; I'm not saying marauder isn't good for AoE or that choppa is bad for single target damage. They've both got talent-trees to sort that out for you.
I wouldn't name one to be better than the other, because it all comes down to the given situation(as pointed out by Coryphaus), but I can confirm that there are already more marauders out there than choppas.
WAAAAGGGH ON, newcomer! :-)

Thanks. again.

Well i will go for Mara and see.

I know all dps is best off with heals and a protector. but i feel that the choppa is more dependant on that than the mara. I will probably have a healer with me most of the time but still i think i go for the marauder. but will probably try out the choppa a little to

Played both classes till rr7x on live. My 2 cents:

Marauders tend to live longer not only because they're slightly tougher in general but also because order usually goes for a huge red zerking orc first.

Healing debuff/leech tactic (Deadly clutch) really helps to survive in scenarios especially if you manage to slap the debuff on someone who's being actively healed. I remember killing stuff with that tactic while being hit by multiple people and leeching these focus heals given to the victim.

Marauders offer more utility and have some really strong tactics and abilities but you won't hit hard till level 35+ — you need stuff from different carreer trees in order to do some damage.

Choppa hits quite hard straight from T1 as far as I remember. Not so many buttons to mash so it might get boring quite fast — marauder has more abilities and skills you need to use often.
