Yeah a 6man of level 26s can easily kill a whole WB+ of sub 26s.

BWs and Sorcs have never not been overpowered. Not a single patch since this game was released on live.

The devs just didn't properly create these classes. Without guards and heals, they are fine but when you take out the risk all you are left with is reward.

this is funny becasue in early war many people quit or re rolled ordo due to BW + kotbs grp crit bombing

Bw's/Sorc's were not a problem endgame before, and only because melee would melt you faster than they could he he. Give it time, it's still work in progress.

They were always a problem. From day 1 until the server close, always. They were one of the main reasons the game ended up failing. More people quit WAR due to BW/Sorc issues than I could even care to count.

God bombing wasn't even the worst of it. Anyone remember when the GTAoE spells could be stacked on one another? Insta-death for anyone walking through.

And anyway, how is melee getting close to the massed RDPS behind a wall of tanks who are all guarded and chain aoe healed?

That makes no sense.

So you're saying you quit and are assuming the game never changed? Brilliant. Yes, BW's in particular were beyond retarded (detonatelol) at the start, but you do realize the game lasted quite a few years and there were many changes right? melee trains dominated the game.

Without guards and heals, they are balanced. They were a terribly designed archetype.

The whole point of these classes was a "risk vs reward" concept. The risk was that you blew yourself up, the reward, the highest single target and aoe ranged damage in the game by a long margin (and a decent amount of utility as well). However, you can easily mitigate the risk by having heals (and to a lesser extent, guard). Therefore, they quickly became (in any semi-organized setting), "all reward". No other RDPS could even try to compete outside of SWS/SHs using M2. And you can't just go and buff the other RDPS to compensate, because they don't have the concept of blowing themselves up in a solo environment.

Sorcs/BWs archetype design simply means that in any semi-organized environment they were leagues ahead of any other RDPS classes, and there was no viable fix outside of nerfing the nuker archetype as bringing up the others would have been a horrible mistake as well.

No, you need to work on your reading comprehension.

1. I never quit until 2012 or 2013, not sure but, 4-5 years after release. Brilliant. I know exactly how they were adjusted throughout the life-cycle of the game.

2. Melee trains only dominated SCs.

ORvR and Capital City sieges were dominated by bombing until this game was closed.

Anyway, what they should have done in the first place is simply reduce the risk and the reward. The very mechanic should have given less damage to self, and less of a damage buff. The classes should have the highest damage, but not by the margin they always did over the rest of the rdps archetypes.
