About "try sl and choppa" I have tried and in glasscannon too. They are not that bad, tho I run the wot rules/powerthro builds so I get crazy burst.

Main problem with them is the backloaded nature of their mechanic. Im often at 20% health before I can even start my burst. The first 5-10s of the fight depending on opponent im just kiting/tanking away with pots.

Marauder disarm makes the difference, but is also pretty rng, as it does not proc when low party class and gets parried if fighting against class with high parry

On choppa I have been running a 2h yellow build with furious chopin and bloodlust. Still has vary good burst and you have a surprising amount of sustain.

Choppa M1 is more versitile in my opinion and you dont have to worry about positoning and targets geting behind you and it works against magic dealers aswell as its a huge absorb, so i prefer it to slayers parry/dodge. Also tired already is great against some of the classes that spam the same ability and its on the same tree as selfheal. And the new aa damage tactic is better than the slayer one aswell. So overall i think choppa solo is in a better position than slayer. I genuenly think they did a better job with choppa in the melee rework. Might be better than marauder glass cannon solo.

only thing in favor of parry m1 over absorb m1 is when you fight super high mdps that just burns through the absorb with few hits.
I used to have plenty of duells with my SL against oozo's choppa where I deleted the absorb in few hits while still having my parry m1 up
