Fastest way to 1-40 in 2026

I've seen some old topics about leveling but everything is from around 2020

In 2026, what is the fastest way to do 1-40 ?

No care about the renown, only exp.

If you already have a lvl 40 you can get Mentor Tokens from quests in your Capital City and with 3 Mentor Tokens you can purchase a Scroll to mail to an alt.

I would recommend getting a total of 4 Scrolls. Then hopping on around 3pm Server time on a Saturday and participating the Weekend Event Scenarios for an additional +50% EXP.

Scouting Quests

During the Down time between SCs grab the quests in the active T1 Warcamps to scout the Battle Objectives there will be one time quests to scout each objective that rewards 5 warcrests per quest. Those quests can be comboed with the Repeatable Quest to scout all the BOs. These are higher priority as the zones can lock and while locked you cannot earn progress towards scouting quests.

Travel Quests

Grab the Travel Quests from the T1 Warcamps to talk to the Rally Masters of each chapter camp (Check that the Rally Masters don't have a quest to talk with the next camp's rally master as this is a common quest that pops up.)

I understand wanting to level to 40 quickly, but stacking XP scrolls may not be the best idea.

Ideally, you want your RR well ahead of your level, aiming for around RR55-60 by the time you hit 40. You will have more renown points, better access to gear, and a much smoother transition into endgame RvR.

Rushing XP does not remove the RR grind. It just pushes it until after level 40, where being undergeared and low RR hurts a lot more.

Mostly i agree but nowadays that is not entirely true. Now you could be very close to bis (for some chars even bis) only from pve. And for pve being lvl 40 is essential so here we are.

On healers especially you could run gunbad run, immediately after that crypt/bb run and without worry bs. 3 runs per day. Half a week and you are rdy for lv. In most extreme way you could be done with all of this within 2 weeks and be much more competitive than the guy having lvl 38 with rr 65 for the same time

Unfortunately, if you end up at rr55 it will not help you with gear at all. Where's the Conqueror coming from? You'll be getting Vanquisher in gold bags instead. That means you'll have to run Gunbad. Ironic, the path that avoids xp and PvE ends up having to do PvE.

Even if that weren't the case, the renown you gain doesn't change so while someone using scrolls is lvl 40 rr40, someone without scrolls would be lvl 30 rr40 at the same /played...it's not like they are better off.

Dont forget that now when T2- T4 are mergerd, once you hit r16 you have to deal with BiS chars in rvr. So i would rather have r40 and all skills and some r40 gear then run with low rank with boolster.

Do traveling quests/bo scout quests that require you to speak to every rally master or warcamp npcs with double xp scroll. Gives a ton of xp with no killing involved.
Or scenarions. Even if you lose, the amount of xp gained is just insane.

You're also missing out on a significant amount of RR points, which is important.

I'm leveling an alt right now and currently at RR62. I skipped Conq+ entirely and went straight to 6pc Darkpromise + 2pc Sentinel, BL mainhand, darkpromise offhand. I already have my 5pc Warlord set ready and I'm currently working toward 3pc Sov. Once I hit the required RR, I'll basically have my BiS setup ready to go.

There are definitely more efficient ways to progress than simply rushing CR40 as fast as possible.

Agreed.

The PvE dungeon route is probably the most efficient in terms of both gear and wards. That's the route I took, and now I'm sitting at 40/62 with some decent gear, plus several BiS pieces already waiting in the bank.
