I think the 20/20 regen weapons do not exist anymore. However, there is a pot that gives extra 20 regen and 10% less crit DMG. And there is a special talisman with I think +72 regen as well.
Witchelfs tend to not only go into regen and Armor but also reduced crit damage. The reason for this is the abso tactic. They want to be crited but want as little DMG as possible from the crit. If the crit DMG is smaller than the 600 abso = they get more abso from a crit than DMG. That's why it's so broken. That's why you lose out with DMG crit builds against them. Also @Kingschultz pls explain us Ur tactics. I guess you have parry tactic and no crit DMG tactic. Do you use Bal anyways or are you just torment into burn the heretic ? Also is riposte tactic a thing for you?

I think we should also have a more critical discussion about the trash tactics and bad changes. The new tactic that makes bullets proc on incendiary shot... Is trash tier: 0/10 on the MDPV scale.

Next the weird tactic that gives 1 extra accusation on silence. 0/10

Virolitic Judgment: better than you give it credit for. A lot of people rely on M1 for their defence and it can prevent them from ever getting it together with dragon gun you can insta remove 350 morale lol. Don't know if it works aoe with DG. 6/10

The weird stealth speed and regen tactic is also garbage. But hey speed buf so 2/10.

I would like to see a cool full confession build but at the moment crit is not at good stat gain at WE and the DMG is normal, so extremely mitigated by Armor. Also just procs on parry which doesn't work on ranged. 2/10

If you open with Incendiary Shot and use Blessed Ammo than your damage from bullets will be 40-50% up. Roughly 700 damage per encounter, good tactic.

Good read, I party with a few WH's and we often have our own quirks in playing the class.

One thing that strikes me is you can often tell a main WH from an alt with play style, mostly in not getting caught and knowing the sneaky places!

My advice is this, 1. have fun! The class will get you kills, I'm fairly average and 50-100 kills over a few hours is doable. 2. You will die. Accept that and point 1 improves.

Always happy to party with other WH's.

Blessed Ammo is sleeper good and core to the new def WH build to max spirit damage as you get the spirit dot + spirit proc. Makes me think the devs have a pretty deep understanding of theorycrafting.

If you add up Fervor, Burn Heretic, Incendiary Shot, Blessed Ammo and Sudden Accusation, you're getting close to WE Witchbrew numbers in magic damage. Add in Flowing Accusation Abso spam, that's pretty powerful. You won't see big crits, but that's not how def specs work, WE does lots of hits for 100-300 and so does WH in that setup.

The thing about def WE is 99% of players could never conceive of it, having 0% crit, 850 str and doing a ton of tickle damage feels alien to most players. That's why only a few people are trying def WH build, just like a few people initially pioneered def WE (Hyguckma / Witchrage etc) - but I suspect you'll see from YT vids on it soon :)

Def WH does struggle with gap closing more than WE though.
