yeah, probably a poor balance suggestion on my part -- a better approach would be to modify something in the MSH tree (which is a role mirror somewhat to WL with leonine frenzy / squig frenzy and the AOE) to have a mobile cast pet.

The mSH pet (Horned Squig only) suffers the same issues and should be fixed as well. It's just that SH has other options where WL doesn't. A huge portion of WL's utility and kit is tied to the pet which ends up making Speed Training a mandatory tactic if you run pet.

Needs a complete pet overhaul and a single target damage nerf for the elf

No. It's worse now. In the past we could get away from using the speed tactic (msh horned squig , dont know about WL) by using an event mount. Now, the tactic is required, and it still does it once in a while even with an event mount.

i agree they should also be able to tank hero lvl mobs and increase overall dmg cause uhh killing ppl in 4secs is not fast enough also revive players with cat licks.

Pet is already faster than players (235 vs 225 speed) and also ignores snares from terrain like water and lava. With charge/tactic, the pets move at 352 speed, nearly as fast a player on a 60% mount (360). If anything, the pet speeds should be reduced to equal player speeds, and I say this as someone who plays both a WL and an SH.

We'll have to agree to disagree. If the pet functioned like it did in the past where there was no pathing and it could go scale mountains and keeps and teleport up bridges, maybe I'd agree, but it doesn't. That ~4.4% better movement speed the WL has doesn't amount to anything when it has to take a 50+ ft detour to avoid the branches coming out of the ground that you can walk over.

If you want to suggest removing pathing all together, then sure, keep the movement speed as is. But right now the lion's entire functionality and all the tools tied to it rely on Speed Training.

maybe you should ask good wl how they use there pet because i can say the pet work and when he is on you and start to slow you down gl getting out

Yep and they want the pet buffed so that they can free up another tactic slot for even more dps output.
