To everyone saying about channeled skills & cast while moving spells, your points are completely valid, however they would still be cancelled by jumping or pressing escape. By canceling from these methods and not via skill presses it would enable proper skill chaining.
I will update the poll to reflect this.
Also glad to see so much support from this! Would this be something you would consider looking at Azarael? Is it easily fixable?

Re: [POLL] How should casting (self) interrupts be working
HTL can be ended by pressing that skill button once more, no big deal.
Playing a magus and a sorc, all i can say is that this poll is not that necessary, cause the bigger issue with caster is this - you start casting, but then skill suddenly resets. these false casts waste time and break the flow(and no, taunt is nothing to do with this).
Second problem being casting smth like shattered shadows on a target which dies shortly after starting the cast. If target dies skill should be interrupted immediately, not after wasting 2 seconds to tell me that.

Re: [POLL] How should casting (self) interrupts be working
Radiantknight, while those are issues, perhaps you should create a bug report about them or make another thread?
This poll is because the system has already been implemented in a certain way and we are talking about if it is the best one to proceed with, or if it should be tweaked. While not perfect, it is a way to show support and that it is an issue affect more than one person.
On a technical level i believe the reason it was implemented like this is that when you press another skill the client sends a specific type of interrupt packet to the server which is then handled the same as moving or jumping interrupt packets. Perhaps in the original WAR they were handled differently and the skill interrupts were not meant to interrupt skills but only say mount channeling or something like that.
Devs please correct me if i'm horribly wrong

Re: [POLL] How should casting (self) interrupts be working
HTL should get cancel also if a skill is" used" and not if a skil is "pressed", there is a lot fo difference in this.radiantknight wrote:HTL can be ended by pressing that skill button once more, no big deal.
Also it should be the same for every channeling in game.
While cast skills never get cancelled for press/ try to use another skill
