Yes MMR with this population is useless, not needed at all. About the balance issues if you see the enemy before the match you could swap gear/talents ect. accordingly. That way you can mitigate the blow from unfavourable matchups. Other thing imo there should be only 1 heal allowed /grp. It would be a fun game mode at least someting to do. Way more ppl would do it then 6v6 that is for sure.

3v3 or 4v4 would make more sense. 2v2 pretty come down to dps healer with a tank or Shaman +squig combo etc it's not balance at all but 3v3 even 4v4 is a better idea.
And it should be more like an event thing weekend event like that people queue and have some fun and wait for the next one in 3-4 weeks etc

Healing is already too strong for 6v6 with 2 2H tanks and 2 DPS. What do you think will happen in a 2v2 or 3v3?

Whole sc system must be reworked. I enjoyed them , especially when people joined discordants, but what's happening now there is just heresy. Discordant que completely dead, instead prople pref over and over que into prems and feed them, ruining game experience and taking hostages people who have zero fun in such "activities".
If u want to lure people in ranked play on their ego. Add shiny new rewards like uniq weapons with sligtly better stats for top 3 in in class and uniq mounth for preseason. Maybe some animated trinkets dunno. Maybe some COOL parts for transmog. Peope will want to show their superiority and will compete for it.
Not sure if 3vs3 will work, usually 1dps have zero chance to solo kill normal guarded healer and whole game will became boring waste of time. On top some classes completely underperforming in ranked and need rework asap. Im sure last season was complete nigthmare to wh, sorks, bw, maguses.
So pls start from little and reanimate discordants. Or make solo event sc as we asked for years. Pugstomping with prems is just toxic braindead waste of time. 6 must play vs 6 not blowing ruin geared people with no addons on asist. This is just wrong. But for some reasons such simple stuff is beyond understanding for years.

4v4 makes most sense to me if you can have 1 heal+Dps Specced healer(that counts as dps) and 1 tank per party. This way Ranged dps becomes important because no need to guard most of the time.

So someone without add-ons and in ruin will do better against full regen specced solo players? Sorcs and BW will surely do better in discordant than in ranked, way more fun to play a career with a self damage mechanic without healers and tanks, I mean what support would they get in ranked?
What killed discordant was the removal of duo. At least you knew you would get one somewhat competent player.

3vs3 seems perfect to me. I don’t even know if comp restrictions are necessary. If they are I’m thinking 1 tank 1 dps 1 healer (dps healer should count as a healer). Might have to tweak dampening system for 3vs3 a little bit but I think 3vs3 would be awesome addition and adding it shouldn’t take insane amount of effort from devs.
