Its not hard to implement and there are few classes that has "hidden" shoulders in one way or another. There used to be a few bugged appearance items with missing textures for shoulders. those got systematically fixxed. So i would conclude from that, that it is clearly not intended or wanted to disable shoulder visuals.

Your suggestion to add a toggle for hiding pauldrons is fantastic! It would greatly enhance the visual appeal and customization options for players, allowing for more immersive and personalized character designs across all careers.
