Just because your side is more vocal, that doesn't mean it's in the right. Spoiled by success one could call that.BoriqOne wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 4:53 pmDestruction has no complaints that are valid.... their classes are pretty much well catered to group and SOLO. ORDER lacks in the SOLO this department. they know it, just aren't going to admit something they are enjoying and that is killing off eager order that love their side and want to play. sad story, truly a sad story.Ronny wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 5:36 pm Well i gotta say everybody here is right, no this game is certainly not centered around solo roaming, thats something i didnt keep in mind.
Zulnam is absolutely correct, i can beat some classes with some effort and against others i dont stand a Chance. Now i want to talk about something ive seen today, not for the first time but that is a regular occurence. Five Order Players trying to kill one Shaman...we killed him but it was a massive effort just to bring down ONE and i repeat ONE green magical Boy, that just cant be right. To be a hundred percent honest, i mentioned "ranged Classes" in my original Post, by ranged classes i exclusively mean Shamans and Squiggies, all other Casters/Ranged are somewhat doable but these two classes are too much to handle.
While this is not a sole roaming game nor is it meant to be one i still think some classes have way more potential to actually fight solo than others do and this comes across as somewhat unfair in my opinion but this is from the perspective of an Order only Player. I am pretty sure Destros have enough to complain about Order Classes as well, i just wanted to leave my honest opinion about this Topic here and i appreciate the constructive comments.

Re: Bald Man wants to get closer to your location
Truly, there is a lot of 1v1 discussion, perhaps too much. But I think that the people that complain about those who complain about 1v1 are also leaning into a different extreme. I want to make a small statement that I hope should lean both sides of this conversation back to centre a little bit.
1v1 is a part of the game. Is it the main part of the game? No. Is it still a part of the game? Yes. It might surprise you to know that there exists more ways to play this game than warband(s) vs warband(s). Those other ways to play the game may not be the main ways to do so, but they do exist. In order for this game to have a healthy community, you want all forms of gameplay to exist, as then you can experience the game in a large variety of ways.
It might surprise you to know that glaring problems for 1v1 and smallscale roaming have in fact been adressed in the past. For example, the most prominent and wide-sweeping one of these is that you also deal 50% less damage to those you have detaunted. In the past, it was full damage as long as you don't use new offensive abilities, thus it heavily favored dot-based classes, making them dominant in 1v1 fights. That change was done specifically to make the solo and smallscale scenes less polarized in viable class builds (and specifically to tone down AM/Shaman). I don't see anyone today complaining about this change, because it does not have any real negative impact on WB vs WB play. I can claim for certain that this was the intent of the change, because I suggested it to the balance devs back in those days, stating it as a reason. (Nerfing my own class in 1v1 in the process.)
Changes like these, that would have minimal impact on WB vs WB, but positively improve the experience of other styles of play seem like a great way to approach the game's balance, as it promotes variety without hurting the "main" game mode. I would ask everyone that feels the need to comment on topics like these to try and view things from this lense as well.
Asking for ranged snare proc chance on Judgement will not have any noticable impact on WB vs WB:
1) For WB vs kiting 6 man groups: The class that would use this ability tends to stay in the backline, and even if you happen to see the extremely rare melee dps WP, which is usually not chosen because it is suboptimal, destro has a ranged snare effect as a proc that can happen for any direct damage ranged attack and it doesn't seem to be large enough of an issue to kill incentive to roam for 6-12 man groups. And if that ranged snare proc doesn't have that large of an impact, then WP's judgement which is an ability only they can use will have even less of an impact.
2) It will have an impact on 6v6, but the impact is going to be very minor. Again, because it requires melee dps WP. In fact, what it will primarily do is make it just slightly easier to catch ranged dps for a WP, but only if they stand within judgement range (65 ft, so 35 ft leeway for the average ranged dps). That's not a negative thing, considering the fact that by all metrics you look at, ranged SH is currently noticably ahead of the curve in terms of dps classes for single target damage.
P.S. It's obviously not okay that shaman requires multiple players to kill it, but people have been complaining about goblin racials forever now. If you could change them in a way that wouldn't impact WB vs WB play, or even positively impact it and also the smallscale scene, then why not? It's obviously a discussion worth having, as long everyone keeps in mind shaman's pros and cons as a class in general; that being said, it is meant to be hard to catch and hard to kill in 1v1, harder than AMs for instance. So the discussion shouldn't be about making them a free kill, but rather how much better they should be at it.
Finally, for everyone who has an opinion they want to state about balance. Please be reasonable, don't form those opinions based on emotions, calm down and think about the game's global picture. If the entirety of your argument can be summed up to "I'm annoyed by X and I want to vent to all of you", then it's probably not a very good argument. If you can't think of any arguments against the opinion you are stating, then this is probably an opinion formed on emotions and you should take a step back and re-evaluate it.
