I though that is intended. It is not only for rdps but for all range spells including heals. If u are ouside the main room at floor 1 you cant hit/heal all characters inside. Otherwise I like that high end ultra mega stacked prems doesnt queu it cos you could die and matches are more equal and even if u are dominated there is chance to get some good renown for wiping all with explosion.
The super random and almost unavoidable explosion is not very cool though
