Only if you queue in the premade SCs. Or go into the lakes solo. Both of which is a bad idea if you're levelling. That's why discordant SC's were made in the first place.Amdus wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 2:40 am Removing the XP scrolls was the biggest mistake regarding the leveling experience, plain and simple. Not that it's the solution, but it has created a far worse problem than being farmed by leveling premades. Now you get farmed by leveling premades and you get farmed by premades at 40. Yet new players are more clueless, undergeared and low RR than ever.

Re: Community perception
T2/T3 SC brackets are the most effective means to level up to rank 40, in my humble opinion. They tend to be more balanced and thus more fun.
Beyond that it is true that leveling in general doesn't take long and yes, sometimes you will get smashed but just push through.

Re: Community perception
They should have left in the xp reduction scrolls but lowered the cap so that it couldnt be used past CR 29. 30s is where the big problem of players slowing down gain so they can stomp for longer and is the main reason for the change.Amdus wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 2:40 am Removing the XP scrolls was the biggest mistake regarding the leveling experience, plain and simple. Re: Community perception
I would prefer a split between t1-t2 and t3-t4.
I have no idea why t2 zones are open for rank 40 players as the keeps here only have a inner door. Most t2 maps are just a long farm fest outside WCs.
This would to my understanding also allow for new players to learn the mechanics of sieges and defense before they are tossed into a t4 keep at level 16 and getting killed by oil.

Re: Community perception
Honestly another thing, kinda griping, why do obj/zone locks only give 2k exp? especially zone locks a MASSIVE event that happens MAYBE once every 2 hours. I can get more xp just throwing dots outside a wb on big battle then locking a whole zone. At the least in T2-4 a zone lock should be a gauranteed level, this doesn't affect lvl 40 people and would drastically help with the slog grind for new and returning players or even people who want to play something else and would still allow people to get RRs before 40. Why am i sitting at RR40 lvl 26 honestly. I can't do anything with the RR until i hit 40 and even when i do i either need to shell out thousands of crests to upgrade through the wards or do mass amounts of pve.
TLDR: Zone locks/obj give way to little exp.

Re: Community perception
The lock reward is based on contribution. If I've been in the field for 1 hour, average on zone lock is between 20-40k. Zone caps give some contrib, but boxes and kills are the way to go.Merdur wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 11:36 am Honestly another thing, kinda griping, why do obj/zone locks only give 2k exp? especially zone locks a MASSIVE event that happens MAYBE once every 2 hours. Not enough players to support it. Thats the issue.Rapzel wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 8:00 am I would prefer a split between t1-t2 and t3-t4.

I have long been a supporter of RR60 Bolster, just give "bonus points" once you hit R40 to spend up to 60 renown points. Just like they do at lower levels (capping renown points spent) Bring Sent/Vanq gear down to RR51, invader to 58, leave Tri/Vic at their spots.

Re: Community perception
I just hit level 40 as a completely new player.
Missed a lot of T1 RVR since I was doing PVE when I should been just grinding ORVR.
Hit T2+ range and was having a lot of fun in Scenarios, avoided ORVR since it seems to be nothing but BiS gank squads and roaming stealth Duos and Trios or getting pulled 100 feet into the enemy zerg since you are thrown right into the endgame.
Now I feel like I hit a hard wall and have to suddenly grind PVE and try to find a niche community since most seem to only want people that have already run them through several alts already and have a high RR while I only managed to hit 43 RR by cap, and get farmed in RVR by BiS players while saving all my crests to some day afford the highest RR sets with the same problem of people mostly only wanting people that have already done the RR grind.
It's pretty harsh at the moment, especially going from being able to make steady gains completely solo if you have limited time to play and it is hard to get dungeons groups and then run through them for several hours straight in one sitting.
I kind of just feel like just making alts and abandoning them at 40 to be honest.

Re: Community perception
When a player reaches CR40, no matter the RR, it is all about the gear. Invest a week to 12 days max into doing dungeons and after your daily dungeon crawl go make some RR and get crests.
Dungeon gear is on par with rvr gear. Gunbad with annihilator, CnT (and des BB/BE) with conq, and Bastion Stair with Vanq. Save your crests for INV.
ROR is not live. Dungeon gear is a lot more relevant, and as much as I and others say this is a PvP game, you MUST do dungeons if you want to be competitive. Also, get the gear with the PQ crests while leveling to 40. HELPS A LOT!!!!
