I said it before and i'll say it again: there is no coding or design solution for fixing user-made population issues. The more you try to force people into both sides, the more people will hate you for it and be dedicated to the dominant side.

Faction balance is a player-made and player-solvable issue. It's also one of the main reasons why during prime time the balance is not too off: groups of players chasing AAO instead of chasing empty keeps. This is the best way to solve AAO.

Even if you manage to do just a 6-man, with 60% aao in a 6-man you can get some very nice RP and war crests catching groups of stragglers that usually don't even put up a fight cause they're desperate to get to the keep before the pve encounter is over.

I know, it's not the solution people usually want to hear in threads about pop balance. Generally the tone is "how can the devs fix this problem that the users make and could easily solve".

If a system like that is implemented, you need to remove the realm lockout otherwise players will just log out if they can't play their character (if realm prider).

I agreed with @zulnam : this is a players issue that you can't solve with a feature (and it doesn't help because of the lockout).
