MSH can pounce through the fence in some places, so WL probably can, too.

Not sure on the exploit part though 🤷‍♂️

As I recall at one time the fences in the High Pass Scenario did serve to block line of sight/line of fire. Evidence of that can be found in the video below. That video was originally published on April 9th of 2018 as part of my scenario guide series, which means, of course, the associated SC
Spoiler:
footage was captured at some point prior. If you watch you can see how the overall style and approach to playing that SC then is far different from those employed today. Both sides are making efforts not to be separated by the fences. The MDPS and Healers all stay in direct line of sight to everyone.

Just saying.

It really depends on the grp and gameplay and I can't really tell from that footage if it is really not possible (but will just trust you on this). Sometimes they stand exactly on where the stone pillar could be in the way of line of sight. (which can be used as los break atm and really annoys range who are making use of shooting through).
I think if it's some sort of premade or balanced grp, they prefer being together, no obstacles in the way and just do their thing. -> 1-2 staying behind to def the objective vs stealthers and rest of grp pushing enemies from BO is all I could see in this video.

As far as I can remember, these fences always worked as they do now. (last 2-3y).

I am not defending it as it is right now, would also prefer only seeing and not attacking/healing possible.

Bit of advice for he OP, at this point in the game there aren't really terrain "exploits" there are just behaviors which can be counter-intuitive.

If you like it, then use it. If you think it is a bug, report it. They (the devs) can be very quick on turn around for what they consider serious terrain bugs so if they don't fix it then they don't think it is an issue.

There are only 4 sections in the fence in that scenario that can be shot through or pulled through. Both sections on either side of the entrance to stag and crypts.

Sorcs, SH, SW, Engis (really everyone) use those sections constantly to their advantage. Pulls are the same just like a previous poster said in sections of the Praag BO.

This was an excellent response, and should serve as a model on how to respond to someone while discussing topics on this forum to everyone. Even me.

Well done. Thank you.

You can pull people through nearly all the fences in the game - same with the ones near order wc in Troll Country.

Either the devs need to block it or its just part of the game.

don't think there was ever a issue about this mentioned in SC chats, Guild chats, Global chats, or discords until now because someone probably got super heated and the final straw was when the person was unfortunately in range of a pull and became victim of it.

So back when I used to play vs my friends in Goldeneye 64, we played with no made up rules. If the game allowed it then it was fair game. Grenade exposions thru walls? Fair. Screen peeking? If you don't then you're at a severe disadvantage. Spawn camping? Know the order of spawn in Facility and how close you can be so you can pop them the second they hit start. Once you free yourself the game becomes so much more cutthroat and hilarious with all its weird perks.

This is how RoR works. Pulling/punting/pouncing thru fences is just how it works.
