No problem.
So, I've done some testing and looks like the Pocket item properly follows all the Unique Equip rules, so we're one step closer to this happening.
I still need to get a couple more approvals, so once I get either the yay or nay on that end, I'll let you all know!

Very nice work, I can imagine how painful it is to lose BiS gear without the ability of regaining it.
