Welcome to Warhammer Online - be assured that you were not the only one with this exact issues ! (you would not belive how many people were called hackers in the past because of this exact mechanic)
you pretty much were on the receiving end of the sorc/BW dps rotation that is exactly timed to have multiple skills hit in 1 timestamp.

this is also a good example to explain why a good configured UI is crucial in WAR/RoR -
as other mentioned the Sorc/BW rotation is normally centered around WordofPain/BoilingBlood (a debuff that lasts 5 sec on you and then explode) so if you can see that you have a WordofPain/BoilingBlood on you - you know you have 5 seconds to warn your healers, find a safespot to break LoS and/or find the Sorc/BW to detaunt.

The damage comes delayed (and therefore with a warning with a good configured UI) but arrives in the same "timestamp"
