Good-ish news: looks like the bar stopping just before the 2nd reward is a bug and a fix is due soon.

We're also reviewing the tasks required and looking into the possibility of giving the proper progression for each task based on its weight - more details would come in the weekly patch notes.

I played for 2+ hours and got 8/150 enemies slayed as Runepriest- even though my 2 man group killed more than 8 people so I'm not understanding why such high # and why not getting credit for kills as healer.
Dirkfunk - 83 Runepriest
Dwyur - 82 Sorc | Deloused - 70 DoK | Durtknap- 64 Choppa

Kills credits need the target to lose at least 51% of its HP by your group/wb alone.
That's why it's almost always preferable to run in warbands instead of small groups.

For sure that makes sense for some reason I thought many people are saying small mans now are better for accumulating crests/getting renown etc. And maybe I thought previously I would get kill credits a lot faster than I was yesterday especially on a healing only class.

Yes, that's because renown and loot are divided amongst the whole warband ; loot is split between the group that made the most damage on target, and renown is split between every group from wich one member hit target (or supported fighters by healing them in your case), proportionnaly to damage your group inflicted (ie. you'll get more renown for kill if you/your group killed target by themselves or did almost all damage).

Thats why killing targets alone or in small group is more beneficial for renown and loot, because you only compete with 5 other players, while in warband you compete against 23 other.
Kill credit is still easier in warband since its accounted is for whole wb (provided your wb did the most damage of course).
