Actually this can be a problem.

There is a (not really active) thread regarding running WAR on Mac. Since I've got a PC, I'm short of another piece of advice, so try to check a thread and conntact some users, who have Macs.

By the way, if you install Windows on its own partition, RoR will certainly works (I know, reboots and so on ...).
