Wl pet is melee range, 15 sec CD and low survivability = unuseful outside of solo/small scale.
Because of that ^^, WL is forced to take loner tactic in serious content and play without the pet(i.e forsaking best dps tactic, pull ,among other things). Is this really comparable to SH?

Its only M1+ frenzy combo that makes SH pet dmg noticable. Also why are you trigerred by ranged class dealing ranged dmg? (pet+player) You have to look at dmg combined instead of ffs why lion pet doesnt do that too.
BTW Svarz makes even Dps Chosen look op.

SH pet is fine, WL pet is also strong. Both doesn't have to be the same, this is not a mirrored game. Learn to detaunt and kill the pet asap. Take in consideration that SH by takin M1 Squigbeast is not using the defensive one or knockback.
