Yeah, shield kind of killed DW/2H:E FoK costs 15Se instead of 15ap and giving 15Se back. From CoC? And Change CE,FoK or both to AP? Removing snare Covenant would be a bit too much. Remove it from Shield/Chalice im fine with that=)

On topic: I think the reason to make it drain se/rf is to avoid people spamming such a strong skill. There is a spamable melee leech skill but only for shield spec, not DPS spec. I would assume the intention was to limit self healing of DPS dok/wp.

It's not very powerful without Empowered Transfer and Shield because you can 2k Aoe heal def target behind wall and after that do 1 Transfer Essence that gives you back all SE and heals your grp for 1k. Repeat that pattern only and melee heals are too powerufl with shield but not powerful enough with Dualwield/2H. Give DW Transfer Essence back but cap healing of party max to 500-700hp when dualwielding. Add to Empowered Transfer; Dualwielding Makes CE use AP and would hit 1 additional enemy close to your target. 25% + healing from lifetaps applies only with shield. Increase dmg of CE to 150% of current but heal to 100% of dmg done. Allow Soul Ward to be used with Dw/Shield.
Change Drowning in blood to new skill with same name; You dmg yourself for 900 health over 4 seconds (3x300 ticks) After 5 seconds your offensive target takes 900 dmg (can crit and affected by str) 10 sec CD. Change Sanquinary Extension to 7 second Spirit dmg DoT that stacks 3 times. 2x lasts 9 sec 3x lasts 11 sec. 4 sec CD.

Unfortunately, the Devs, along with these special people advising them, decided that ALL Mastery TREES should be viable as a full spec.
Why? I don't know.
The end result is WE tanks, Squig Herder Tanks, chosen as mpds, WH's with four viable armor ignore abilities, WLs that are gimped, SW's that are neutered, (All SW ranged power moves are now basically standing still ... skirmish is only useful as close in shotgun style play, but without the armor bonuses of melee spec/stance).
So now WP/DoK have shields, 2H WP is still useless, and heal WP/DoK is not as powerful in healing as they once were. And where every melee class has a "throw dagger" like ability based on AP, DoK/WP have to waste resources, gimping them even more.
Just to make a fraction of certain abilities useful, instead of being ignored.

it should had been linked to either a weapon off hand use or to a covenant; that way it would had worked for outside dual weild build..... but nope, they had to put in a way that made it 2-w centric... beats me...
