But most aoe doesn't stack anyway, ie you can't stack Rain of Fire on top of each other or most other floor area affects, is has to come from different sources
I wouldn't say remove it completely, but barb/reflect type attacks and abilities that zone enemies and scale with larger enemy numbers could work for this. At this point one zerg pouring aoe into another scales out single target damage by quite a lot, which creates major balance issues within and across classes.

But even at Warband v Warband level at the moment aoe generally isn't enough to wipe the enemy alone, with well healed warbands it needs to be combined with assisting on key targets and morale drops to ensure a wipe. Without the aoe pressure then it is just a never ending fight of single target kills and res chain. You need the aoe pressure to even create the possibility of fully wiping the enemy warband.

Aoe damage are way too powerfull.
You can hit in aoe for almost the same amount of ST abilities.
Aoe dmg should deal half the single target damage, or be diminished by a % of target hits.

doing Aoe hitting 1 target > 100% dmg
2 targets 90% .. 6 targets 75% .. more than 6 to 50%
:p
Then need to get a solution to push fort and funnel, cause defending would be too easy.

Don't you think there should be a damage limit when you start to deal the same type of damage in the area? If I'm not mistaken in the live it was 60%.

I may be mistaken and my Chosen with 5500 armor, 1180 toug, 83% parry and 45 block need a buff :D
hmm im wondering you play here how long like 2 months maybee 3? and you right now you know best what the game need what need to be changed etc

what about people who play here for loooong time and play it just becouse the like how the game is

And when zerg is organized ?
When a zerg is organised it's not a zerg. It's an army.
So when unorganized zerg kill U its bad. When army kill U its fine. So i think its yours prob that random pug ppl kill U.

Just sounds like someone has gotten his ass kicked and needs to complain about something new

If aoe is wipping you all, stop bunching up and spread out. Like someone pointed out in one of the replied, no aoe can take out a warband with decent healers, its just not enough damage and is easily healed. Aoe dmg does not do the same damage as a specced single target in same gear sorry.

100% Agree with this. If you decrease AOE dmg then cities will become an endless chainress singletarget battle. They already are if people spread out and generally play well.

As for Fort/Keep funnels... since AOE has a cap of 24 you could very easily deal with them if all 168 attackers actually pushed in and more than half didn't just stand outside waiting to be useless. That way dmg levels would become entirely manageable with tank M4s running. So when you see the push, actually **** push and you won't die :=)

To be honest i think it was more enjoyable, when the aoe cap was 12, before the devs raised it to 24. It caused quite the drama, as you can imagine, because it was percieved as a very order biased decision. Granted there is a lot more things, which were different back then.

Hey guys, I should be able to tank a zerg with just my raw stats.
