So when no pop in 24v24 premade we can q as normal?
That's the idea, to be as unintrusive as possible on the current system while giving people who want the challenge and avenue and incentive to do so.
I like the poster bringing up raiding, and I'd assume the conclusion to that is raidlogging (the term many of you probably heard here is "citylogging") where one just logs into the game for a specific content. I pretty much consider myself a citylogger at this point. I will log in if my guild is doing something interesting or there is an event but other than that its just for city. But does that mean I hate the game or should that type of player be frowned upon?
Raidlogging is the analog for citylogger in world of warcraft, and i find myself on retail and classic wow in that camp of someone who just logs in every tuesday/wensday night with my guild for a few hours to raid. I don't hate WoW, I just log in for a few hours a week to do the content I enjoy, and thats the same for WAR really at this point. But what im afraid of is that city just isn't challenging, if you are on destro its basically a 95% chance of a very easy win if you are in a 12 man/24 man ... hell I even solo qued on my magus this morning because timezones were outside the scope of my guild and the groups were 2-2-2 amazing and we shitstomped the order in there like 400-5. But thats pugging and that's not at all what my thread is really about.
Im genuinely afraid if not for the 6v6 my guild participates in we would burn out and not really play this game anymore because city is just boring. Going against pugs you are smashing 500-0 is just going through the motions for 10-15 royal medallions...

For a game, warhammer online has insane replayablility.. unfortunately when you have spent so much time doing the same thing for years, it gets old without new content, new class, new map.. as someone in the same boat I totally understand your frustration. Once you're decked out, you simply run out of things to do in game, no more gear progression makes the grind much less bearable, back in live you maintain your status longer since it takes forever to level/gear up... RoR sped up progress is both a blessing and a curse.
Premade vs Pug never work, its not fun on either side.. regular sc or city, 500-0 is a waste of time.. also had a pug wb vs a should be pug city (maybe 6 or 12 man) instance today, we pretty much sweeped them from stage 1 to 3, except we wiped once with people rushing in while some still PVE in stage 2. you'd be lucky to have a good fight 1 out of 10 cities with the current system.. the lack of end game is a huge issue that can't be dealt with easily, majority of your end game is running around looking for good fights, ORVR, SC, Fort, City, 6v6, the chance for some real action are all based on RNG, you could be playing for hours and not find 1 back and forth, exciting fight ..

There is simple solution to that, Leaderboards, for best Guilds, most won instances for Players, and so on so on. Leaderboards makes competition alive, u add some nice rewards to it and boom, its worth trying, worth improving.
But before that, Matchmaking needs a lot tunning,
My idea of Matchmaking for City should be like this: You have 10-20 min for preparations, if u ready, you have 10-20 min for queuing, but instances wont start durign that time, matchamking will start at the end of the queuing time, so like 5mins after mark Matchmaking should match every groups, 24s, 18s, 12s, 6s and even solos.
Now only question remains on what value should Matchamking for Cities be dependent? Lets say its a number of wins, so u have full warband, each player has some numbers of wins, u add up all together and u have some average number of wins which will define ur position in Matchmaking, just an example.
If as Destro you are winning 90% of you City instances (I believe Dan’s now locked thread showed it was a 66% Destro win rate on average), do you really think matchmaking will fix that for you? There simply are not that many good opponents for you, for a number of reasons.
There has been a lot of private cross faction chatter going on the last few weeks. There is a genuine concern on both sides that Destro has gotten too far ahead and we’ll never get competitive balance back. The devs, as much we appreciate their efforts, don’t seem to grasp this atm. Which is a pity, because without that back and forth challenge the game is destined to wither away.

A little off topic but a lot of the good guilds who play this game all play on the same side. Some of them xrealm but to my knowledge most of everyone is playing on the same side (that I know of) not saying people should abandon their projects and go to the other side to find competition but just an observational note.
I like the leaderboard idea but don’t know how much people will actually care on a server that still calls itself an alpha but is not treated as such
Also like the que idea

Just beg TuP to return to your side for a couple of months to even the scales
And how is it gonna help Order, that TUP plays Order? do they add anything in general to the Order population overall, other than maybe 1 guaranteed Order city win?
