Question, you may not know the answer to this, but if I'm at 0% chance to be crit, and an enemy is at (let's say) 40% crit chance. Is their crit reduced to 0% or 20% or 40% etc?
It will be 40%. The point is, when your chance to be crit is 15%, the enemy will hit you with 55% crit chance, if their own crit chance is 40%.
You can even go into negative chance to be crit to actively reduce enemy chance to crit you.
I heard negative critchance is capped at a certain treshold. Does anyone know if that is true, and if yes what the exact value is?

@OP Corporeal,Elemental resistances are the biggest magical AOE damage threat coming from orderside, spirit is not that prelevant if you play largescale

Negative critchance capped? When we tested, chosen had -25% or something to be crit and i had 20% to crit. Not a single crit when we tested.
So i dont think its capped, but a bw have like 65-70% to crit so they will always crit you sometimes :D

Simply put, in conq you should have at a minimum unbuffed and rr 50+:
900 wounds
750 toughness
4000 armor
250 or higher ini w/ 0%CTBC
400+ resists (imo just let grp mates buff this or aura)
Block 35% plus
dodge, parry, disrupt as close to 30% as possible.

If you can HTL spam and not get bombed by crits while using guard. You will be a good tank.
Brynnoth Goldenbeard (40/80) (IB) -- Rundin Fireheart (40/50) (RP) -- Ungrinn (40/40) (Engi)-- Bramm Bloodaxe (40/83) (Slayer) and a few Empire characters here or there, maybe even an elf.

Bo can't have those stats in conq gear at 50 rr. No idea where you're pulling these numbers from. There's no way of getting d/d close to 30%, not even parry with max renown (my d/d is 18/20 and parry is 20, I'm 80 rr maxed out). Especially if you invest into futile strikes, which you should do first. I do recommend trying to get your initiative to 250 actually before anything else. You have wounds and toughness tactics so in the beginning those will help you a lot.

Others have pretty much summed it up. Focus on block and reducing chance to be crit, that's crucial for bo. You have a big self armour buff, so no need for armour talismans (you won't have 4k armour unbuffed, maybe if you run ruin/redeye gear for armour bonus). Hold the line and can't hit me will buff your defenses. Unfortunately you have no way of buffing parry.

I think that he worded it entirely wrong. I presume that those stats are when under Hold the Line, cause numbers kinda make sense then, but he 1st told "unbuffed". It's kind of a messy post, but it "fits" when he names HtL below.

ty for the clarification, it always sounded weird to me why there should be a cap, very helpful info
