Really? Did he also lose it to this bug -or whatever it is- or delete it himself?

Anyway, scary thing to think your character is just gone, I deleted all of my 40's up to this point because I only play 1 char at a time, but that was my own decision, just having it randomly get lost must suck hard.

Also note that before before yesterday we hadn't put out any fix for this. So if tosh's character came back it must have been the phenomenon described in the post.
