same for me when I click coonect on launcher, game won't start... open for 1 second the strating window then nothing

Have you tried admin mode? Also make sure the game folder is not read-only in Properties.

i closed the game by right clicking on the taskbar icon and clicked "close program". now when i try to connect nothing happens. i load the launcher up, hit connect, and nothing...
not sure how to resolve this.

Try restart pc or check in task manager if it still running
