Will these mounts be attainable via PvE only? I only ask because, while adding custom mounts to the game would be a great idea, it would be pretty jarring if they were solely attainable through one part of the game (which has already received a lot of attention, offering a plethora of unique rewards as it is).

Could do what WoW does, and have different mounts for different things: ToK unlocks, PvP achievements, PvE, blabla (sure you already know this).

What about those armoured mount variants that are around the stables/monolith in IC? Any plans for them?

There is a plan for the armored versions, though no ETAs as details has yet to be decided as well.

As for custom ones, its something we are discussing internally but custom mounts will still have to match lore and work with the player models.
