Better go fast Rank 40 or push RR early?

Generally speaking bolster works really well up until level 31. So I would suggest that you take advantage of bolster and use your time to get your RR up near or over 40 by level 31-ish. Then you can focus on grinding out the last XP levels.

That said, grinding is super boring now because the "easy" (read fast) avenues of XP advancement have been removed. Those last 9 levels feel bad because it takes a while (compared to grinding in live) and you feel a bit guilty running SCs because you are straight up a liability without your 4th tactic slot.

The alternative is not have the RR by the time you are 40 and you will catch all kinds of nasty comments from the resident trolls if you don't grind out Ruin gear or what have you.

So those are your options and the consequences.

I go 40 as fast as possible and ONLY DO MY JOB until rr4x/5x.

If you can heal, go full heal. If you can tank go full tank, if you're a DPS, get annoyed at being useless.

Soak up SC renown and RvR and around 4x/5x you'll be relatively competitive and can start to 'specialize' into hybrid roles.

I know it's sarcasm, but BO sitting is really bad. It's only 15k renown per hour.

Unless you play with rr80 premade, it's better to grind renown in lower tiers SCs. You can easily carry the game as long as you know how to play, while it's harder in T4 without any gear and renown, you are dependant of your team. Unless you are good at leeching kills in orvr, which is the best, even better renown/hour than SC farming with a premade.
