Quit tab targetting and accidently shooting through walls! /quitchabitchin!
...and that was a boring video, no risks taken and ran away (not kiting) as soon as minimal pressure applied in your area.

What is the best way to reduce FRAPS file size for uploading? I tried Windows Movie Maker and the quality was terrible.

Thanks

There are quite a few:

- Don't record your mic
- Don't recond any sound at all
- Reduce the quality to Half-Size
- Reduce the FPS (Don't go under 30 or it really starts to show).

I ditched FRAPS for RadeonPro: Unleashed (since shelved); John Mautari is now applying his craft on the AMD Gaming Evolved app called Raptr, which features a beta capture app called GVR plus an instant replay recorder, both of which upload to Plays.tv (a Twitter affiliate if I'm not mistaken) and full recording lengths can be uploaded easily to YouTube, as has been my experience as the app(s) can be instructed to "optimize the stream for uploading" as it's captured (so yeah, a bit buggy, but compared to ease of use and almost zero CPU footprint, blows fraps out the water).

Caveat: the Raptr client is the SAME app as the AMD Gaming Evolved app (which is how John Mautari and his RadeonPro: Unleashed project are involved) yet the Raptr app seems to be LESS buggy  Also, I went "fanboi" with my current rig and built it with "all AMD" parts, which is not required, but for obvious reasons seems to work more consistently than Nvidia or mixed-part systems with these apps, but these "launcher/game-time-tracker/social networking clients" are relatively new and in a constant state of dev and upgrade, which can get frustrating.

Secondly, RadeonPro: Unleashed can still be reviewed and downloaded from AMD:Japan, but is getting corrupt as John is working tirelessly to incorporate many or most of the features RP: U provided, which were near flawless, providing the most gratifying, picturesque gameplay enhanced by the hardest hitting app of its kind (but has been "abandoned" for better part of a year now)... "back in the day" that put only a 3% footprint on my APU/CPU versus the 17-28% i had to deal with when using fraps. Raptr has incorporated so many of those features you will be hard-pressed to notice any footprint even at "high" settings of 15kbps/30fps/1080p capture. Can customize capture up to 30kbps/60fps/1080p. Give it a shot, and u may want to give RadeonPro a whirl as well... and that app is just sick. Many are hoping J. Mautari gets his butt back to work on it post haste. Cheers!

Good Hunting.
