Marauder is good.
But it s more a rock paper scissor when it comes to 1v1

Re: Best solo roaming class?
Best solo roaming classes are those with stealth. WH, WE. They kill verry fast and can stealth away if they are about to get caught by zerg, warband or just roaming premades. Stealth is such a big life saver and is verry underestimated. When I was playing WE, I stealthed away from many situations I would 100% die with any other class.Aebel wrote: Fri Jul 13, 2018 2:49 am Out of pure curiosity what do you guys figure the best solo roaming class for each faction is? I'd put my money on WL and BG but I haven't hit t4 yet
Trying to solo with heavy defensive magus or tanks is great option too, but killing speed is significaly slower and risk of geting ambushed by enemy is much higher.

Re: Best solo roaming class?
It depends on what you want to do in the lakes.
If you have the mindset that solo roaming is all about only doing 1v1's. Then go full deftard with as much selfhealing as possible. With this option, you will lose by default if any sort of healing gets involved in the fight. However, this seems to be the most popular solo roaming style. Which means that you might meet many other like-minded people, and you can have very long fights into the end of time.
If you have a realistic view of rvr play something with a heal debuff. At least then you will have the chance to accomplish something of significance if you encounter healing.
IMO well played SH is the best all-around solo roaming class.

I think you can solo every class if you're dedicated enough, assumed you got some basics regarding movement and situational awareness. Even RP or Zealot: then you just pick other battles.
Bigger problem is dodging the blob. For that, stealth is a big plus.
Classes to solo with imho:
T1:WE, WH (just because of stealth)
T2: Magus, IB, SH, SW, Mara, WL
T3: AM, Zeal/RP (a little bit more work, but doable), SM, Engi, WP, DOK
Rest is kinda "more work", but also more fun if you geht your kills, e.g. SL/Choppa.

Re: Best solo roaming class?
I would say from my experience
T1: Magus, WE, WH, WL
T2: IB, SH, SW, Mara, AM, BG, Chosen, DoK, WP
T3: Zeal/RP, SM, Engi, Slayer
T4: Choppa, Sorc, BW
I am not sure where to place BO and KotBS, because BO is easily kited and I'm not sure if their subjugator weapon has a speed boost like for SM. Also not sure if KotBS has any actual way to catch up with kiters either, but if they do they'd likely be about as good as Chosen I imagine. Also not sure where to place shaman, either T2 or T3.
Also reason why AM is T2 here is because you stand a very good chance against all the other classes in T2, even if the matchup is not guaranteed, although a good chosen in anti-caster build is basically unkillable for you.
I rank magus so highly mostly because Incindent is just an unkillable monster although that's the only Magus I've met which I simply 100% can't kill, others seem to be far less damaging and far more vulnerable.

What makes magus so good? Especially compared to engi

Re: Best solo roaming class?
High burst damage, very tanky due to high toughness and wounds self-buff (essentially an un-debuffable burst heal), does magic damage so not terribly put-out by armor stacking. Engi is also very difficult to kill 1v1, its just that more people see solo roaming Magi like Incindent than they do solo roaming engis.
Trying to kill either when they have their pet buff stacked is very difficult for most classes. BG/IB and WH/WE might be the only ones to do it. Dunno who wins in magus vs. engi. Presumably whomever crits first on Snipe/Bolt.

I've played almost every class. The most fun I have had solo was on DPS Shaman. Most effective I would have to say WE/WH or IB/Chosen. Every class is viable and can be fun however.
