Re: cant choose class

If I were to start anew...

...and had time constraints or whatever limiting me to solo roam, I'd pick Witch Hunter or Shadow Warrior. They are both fully functional with low RR, entry level gear and without group.
If I were interested in gearing faster than ranking, I'd pick Shadow Warrior over Witch Hunter, because as rdps with decent AoE I'd have an easier time leeching loot while riding a zerg/in keep sieges.
If I were interested in ranking faster than gearing, I'd pick Witch Hunter over Shadow Warrior, because with stealth (and Lock Pick) you have access to fancy plays (e.g.: sneaking inside a keep to pop oil, ...) and hidden RR treasures (e.g.: AFK derps in keeps, ...) and could more easily pick targets (i.e.: lower downtime through escapes, target picks and dodges, ...), yadayada.

Mind you, most classes need gear (by extension RR for access to certain specs if anything) and a functioning supply line for pots to properly function in a solo/duo roam environment ~ exception being SW/WH.
Additionally, some races have hidden traits; e.g.: Dwarfs = master race, access to BT events, yadayada.

I'd in any case vouch against Slayer, BW, SM and Engi if time constraints and such limit you to certain formats or limit your sessions to a few hours per week/month, as these class are rather gear and group dependant.
If you however don't have such constraints, plan to regularly group (pug wb/sc != grouping) or just have an urge to play a particular class that outdoes potential conflicts of interests, pick whatever.
Everything is well workable ~ classes and acquisition of gear and RR, provided you make an effort to make it work and adjust your expectations accordingly... e.g.: if you have an inexplicable hardon for bald, old man with giant hammers or greasy, grumpy midgets in hotpants, make sure to find yourself atleast a guardbot.

Don't burn yourself out with classes that come with requirements attached to them that conflict with your approach to the game ~ apply humor or adapt.

IBs are the coolest. Best choice. And if you go full retard glass canon in BiS gear, you do enough damage to never feel the need to reroll a dps xD

you can just try all classes in t1 to see what you like, don't really have to invest much.

Please don't play WL too many of them out there especially lowbie ones yet they might not know that now since the recent changes to the class in order to spec viable you need least rr60. We need tanks and healers.

As someone with 11 rank 40 toons on destro I feel your pain. I'm a support player at my best so I started with a healer and got him to 40/40, then I got my tank to 40/40, and then a rdps to 40/40. If you have a heals, tank, and dps leveled and good to go you'll be ready for any situation.

I can't focus on one toon it gets boring and drives me insane. IB is an excellent choice but has a high skill cap. You have access to some really beefy buffs, and if you do it right you'll be floating oath friend so much it will drive you bonkers. That with floating guard will keep you busy. Although mine is only 36 it is possibly the most fun class in the game imho.
