If you are a so sensible that can't take an emote, filter it out in chat.
Chat tab + right click -> Filters -> uncheck emotes -> win.

I truly miss the **** talking... Some of my total favorite moments came out of random smack talking. Playing Red-Rover in CWs, talkin smack to the side that is sitting in their keep while we have AAO, etc etc.
Btw, Hastykrasty, I think you mean sensitive... Though i guess Sensible could work as well...

Tbh much depends on nationality.
Germans and colonials have a habit of being so serious, eastern Europeans tend to be blunt and we Brits usualy just enjoy taking the piss.
Of course these are broad generalisations. My time at RAF Brugen taught me the subtle nature of German humour, some of that seriousness is more like highly evolved sarcasm.

Trash talk was a thing in T2 i remember, but like with so many other toys the community proved it couldn't use it reasonably, (we can all agree there's a limit), so the devs decided to enforce a be nice policy.
To be fair to all involved you don't know the other person, and you have no right to disrespect them, especially since we do have a people of all ages playing not to mention other concerns.
