only imba M4 (SL)
I get to hang up 4 runes at the same time (ID). It works fine, if you have a few enemies near on which to hang the runes.

Yah, try reaching M4 in a decent time though, let alone as fast as the BWs you are dumping with. SW also has the option to spec whirling rage, just saying. But I agree slayer is probably better when you are point blank, especially without the right party.

Slayer without party - meat in AoE. Necessarily the presence of the guard and the healers

Obviously, I'm saying that in a full premade min-maxed guild warband slayer probably beats SW in point blank situations unless SW is in a party specifically set up for it to perform, and even then it's questionable if SW can compete.

Shatter Limbs gives Slayers a massive edge over SWs, in terms of DPS and utility.
However, application and uptime is higher on SWs unless, as others have said, the Slayer brings a proper group and picks fight in CQish environments - BC is probably among the best zones to bomb on the roads with a Slayer, other zones require a more careful setup and objective hugging.

Abbd.: Given how excessive the need for a proper setup is on a Slayer, I'd suggest OP to stick with SW. SW might, as per Lefze, require a similar setup to exceel at bombing, but it doesn't need the setup to <work>.

Cast time reduction to regain the old constant pressure. SW can't compete with LA as a 2 sec cast, but you can still press it down to close to 1 second.

Edit: And of course you still have the option to run CQ, but not needed with the right setup.

1. apart from BW, aoe spec BW is best bomber in game
2. hybrid spec BW
3. ST spec BW can still do good AoE dmg
4. Slayer when guarded and not actually fulfilling their Slayer oaths, shame on them
5. Engineer
6. SW, though not sure since they were "fixed" rather hard lol

As for remaining classes, dps RP can be mean, Knight with dmg aura is easy pick too, WL does some AoE meatspinning and WH has DragonFunGun every 10 sec.

I know

I wrote about SL in the narrow space and SW in open space.
SW in open space 2nd DD after BW.
SL - 2nd DD in narrow space.

I may not be quite the right word, sorry, English is not my native language.
right setup.
And again, what is right setup ? :)

magus with infernal blast, agonizing torrent, aegis, blue horror pet, and a shaman to apply ele debuff = very very godly. even firestorm magi do very good aoe when needed. i don't see any active high RR demo magi using the class to its maximum potential atm.

can't see how an engineer does more burst aoe than a magus.

note: this isn't taking into account morale dumps, ofc.
