That argument is totally invalid based on your own rules:

I know the rule. It basically means that, for example, if discussing KotBS we are not interested in what should be changed on Chosen for it to remain balanced.

I am not asking for a Embrace the Winds buff/nerf though; it was only a comparison between 2 similar tactics within the same class archetype. I could add others like Dark Blessings (BG, self, 10%) and Isha's Protection (SM, self, 20%). Comparing these tactics, it is clear to me that FM is overperforming and should be toned down.

If people really think FM is fine, then a new proposal should be made regarding heal buff stacking. BoG + FM + Exalted Defenses for example means a target is receiving 43.75% extra heals from everyone (and 72.5% from any WP that procs Exalted Defenses). If a SM runs Isha's protection (yeah yeah I know no SM runs it) then these numbers would become 75.5% / 107%.

Tell me Destro's counter to this and i will close the proposal.

Move it up and make it not stack with the Runie buff, balance accomplished. Any comparison to Blessing of chaos is irrelevant IMO, as the zealot buff requires effort to keep up on several targets, while this tactic does not. While you can say that this isn't that big of a deal, it is in any full party where you have 2 healers, especially as you can't cast party heals a lot of the time.

It is irrelevant simply because the correct mirror to BoC is Blessing of Grungni.

Fair enough. Just had to include it as the argument was pulled earlier in the thread. Only looking at direct mirrors might give bad results though, crossfaction balance really can't be reached that way.

I would agree with you if Blessing of Grungni didn't exist.

So having said that, @everyone: Don't bring Blessing of Chaos argument up again.

Always considered CS to be the counter weight to FM but yeah it is gone as we all know

@bozzax: Me too. Though a lot of people used to think CS was the counterweight to Order's crit stacking (gone too).

Moving it upwards should be good enough, and bringing down Mighty Soul might actually make knights realize that their swords can actually be used to hit enemies, instead of just standing around being Aura-bots.
Decreasing the value to 10% is probably too much, and would most likely just result in people completely ignoring the tactic.

Moving it upwards wouldn´t change anything. I see no ability/tactic the Kotbs won´t get then, that he gets now. You could decide to move it upwards in a mighty soul balance discussion. But only to buff mighty soul, not to nerf focused mending.
Question is, if reworking the way Kotbs-Auras work in general is still in planning. As focused mending is depended on an aura, I am against any changes until this is decided.

Imo the easiest solution would be to have the tactic affect Focused Mending's HoT instead of the aura itself.(Procs whenever you defend an attack, hp+ap over 3 seconds) This way it doesnt keep a %100 uptime on the whole party but only on those that are getting hit.
Duration could also be increased if it seems too short.
