High elves is clearly the most elite army of the warhammer world.
Skaven and Lizardmen are the two races that is missing the most imo.

No way, an ogre costs 2xpoints of an elf.

. Trolls, excluding Throgg, and Ogres arent really smart enough and lack the basic horde intelligence of the Greenskins.

Ogre culture is an ancient and great form of civilisation that brings freedom in relation to the material part of the bodies. Don’t be ethnocentric.

(Apart form jokes, ogres are smart enough to be contractors for the empire and even betray it).

Oh ok that's what you meant by "elite". Personally I was referring to the elite "feel" of the army in general, and the lore about it.

Well, in warhammer there are elite army and swarm army. Depends on cost/power of the singole average model.

A single ogre can't win against ANYTHING 1vs1. You seems like an Ogre fan, and I quite understand that, but you are not thinking about ALL possible 1vs1.
What about a Greater Daemon? or a Daemon Prince? or any powerful magic user? a Slann maybe? no wait...what about Krakanrok the Black? a smaller one maybe? Kholek Sun-Eater?
And that's even without counting some Lords like Vlad von Carstein (which have the strength of an ogre amongst other things...).
BUT there is someone that can win against anything 1v1. His name is Abhorash.

Oh ok, then yes an ogre will probably win in melee combat.
Being freaking big and freaking strong probably help.

I'm not really an ogre fan, i play dark elfs, chaos dwarves and vampires xD but, in warhammer world, they are the best.
Obviously speacking about average troops. A Bloodthirster is a Bloodthirster, Karl Franz on an acient dragon with Ghal Maraz is the emperor. Still, a meneater win against a palace guard or a Bloodletter.

Chaos Dwarves and Woodelves and skaven. Other races would either have to be op ( vamps) or not iconic enough
