In order to have something proc 10 times (that has a 10% chance to proc), you'd have to be hit, on average, 100 times. Who cares about 1,000 absorb? Getting hit 100 times, you'd be dead 5 times over.

"you joke right..."
"potentially" proc, the higer the focus the higer the chance to see it proc; and also tes as wrote above guard dmg can proc this, guard dmg is done also by dots you can potentially have more than 100 hit in rvr going on x sec so yes..

Furthermore 'on hit/being attacked' procs trigger off guarddamage.
Iirc, absorb calculation runs primarily on toughness and pre-crit yadyada, armor/resis are taken into account after the fact - correct me someone if I am wrong, memory tends to be a sieve.

To give you an example of a class that could be hilarious with this set:
(S&B, personal preference) BG with softcapped toughness/deftard Chosen (paired with a Zealot and their absorb shenanigans....).
This shouldn’t be the case. “On Being Hit” is meant to be direct damage, which guard damage isn’t. "On hit" is in relation to your attacks.

'On hit' as in 'on being hit' ~ the context should cover that, as for the procs:
Test it; I ran a small test on my IB with a buddy and an epic quest shield with a'on being hit proc' proc, had him facetank some NPcs whilst brainafking on the sidelines looking for procs.
Guarddamage did trigger the proc ~ the only 'on being hit/attacked' procs that don't get triggered by guarddamage are those that require an enemy target (e.g.: DoT/dmg procs and the upcoming lifesteal on onslaught,...). There is a reason most 'on being hit' procs accessible to tanks sit in the very low %'s (3-5% on subj/epic quest).

Ah okay, I didn't realise it was unique to certain procs.

I figured since guard damage doesn't proc the Conq proc for tanks then it didn't work for others that had similar "On Hit/Being Hit" effects.

I figure its because wound procs are incredibly powerful, being basically 1000 pt. undebuffable heals for classes that (IB/BG masterrace excluded) do not normally have heals. If they procced off guard with no ICD, youd never kill full conq tanks.

Pretty sure it doesn't re-proc though, so when the wounds buff is active you get the boost but it doesn't keep continually healing you based on the proc %. It basically acts as an ICD.
