just because the "stance mechanic" is the same doesn't mean the actual stance is the same which is what Hastykrasty was saying. and the closes thing SHs have to a stance are the pets as each one enables them to either have more range, shoot while moving or be thoughened up for melee combat, just like the SWs stances do. so no, SW and Mara have in no way the same or equal stance or any other mechanic(s). SWs are the mirror class/career of SHs even if the later has a pet and the former doesn't.Telen wrote:Stance swapping is more a sw/mara mechanic.
The closest thing SH have to stance is going into squig armor which is always available. [...]
being able to call another pet, even if instantly, is not the issue here.Haojin wrote:this.Penril wrote:If your pet is about to die you can make it explode/eat it and the next one will be summoned instantly (for 10 seconds).
also, make your pet "passive" all the time, just manage "attack-retreat" manually especially agaist life tappers, wh's.
you can count on your SH pet dying alot in ORvR as they in fact do get targeted alot and you do not always have the time to babysit them. also, even if you keep an eye on your pet most of the time they will be a lot closer to the enemy than you are and die on their way back often due to the sheer amount of DoT dmg alone.Osred wrote:Also to reiterate SH is a range pet class, meaning that the squig itself will be less likely to be targeted. stance are not only buff... the stance mechanic also restrict the usage of skill... that is how the mechanic work for both SW and mara... Sh instead only get the buff from squig but is not restricted.Jerkling wrote:just because the "stance mechanic" is the same doesn't mean the actual stance is the same which is what Hastykrasty was saying. and the closes thing SHs have to a stance are the pets as each one enables them to either have more range, shoot while moving or be thoughened up for melee combat, just like the SWs stances do. so no, SW and Mara have in no way the same or equal stance or any other mechanic(s). or when you argue that a pet is a stance (it's clearly not), it makes people question your thought process.Jerkling wrote:er, no, they aren't.
