dps shammy/AM SH/SW. Forget about melee, there only 1 rvr zone active, so there not so much place to gank before to get steamrolled.

basic difference between two dps healers counterparts here is : AM able to clean Shammy's dots, Shammy isn't. But Shammy have few defensive tactics to survive. like run away and 'autodetaunt'. so choose wisely.

1 tip: always stay behind zerg or anyone. Don't be on frontline and you don't get agro.

^well yeah, melee is inda hard now after losing RD + CW potential, a skilled rdps will simply kite you to death with ease
unless you have stuff like pounce or are able to pull targets, you'd better as a rdps for solo purposes than melee, especially Destro melee that faces both SW ranged knockdowns and BW ranged knockdown, and engineers with +150 feet rdps and potential self healing keg.
Order mdps don't have it easy either, as they face Squigs with speed procs (though Sorcs are lauaghably bad in their current state) and Magi are okay I guess, almost like engis minus keg heal potential. However, if you pick White Lion, that's maybe best mdps pick for soloing, you can pounce 65 feet ahead and pull reliably from similar distance. And in any 1v1 duel, you're basically an army of two thanks to the pet.

Duel a lot and play all classes to lvl40 to get to know their strengths and weaknesses was always my approach :)
