GameVox's platform seemed clunky compared to the alternatives. It had that awful Arial font and html from the 90s powering it. I'd be glad to be off of it.

I encourage everyone to check out Discord. It's really just a much better platform than the Twitch app (formerly Curse Voice) and combines the best of mumble with the best of IRC chat. And don't even get me started on how awful Dolby Axom was...

Discord has all the permissions you would expect from GameVox on a lightweight html5/websockets-based application. It supports chat moderation, a free open API for chat/voice, etc...

Zero reason for someone to use GameVox, Twitch app for Voice, or Dolby Axom when there are better chat alternatives out there.

Do not go with TeamSpeak. No one uses TeamSpeak anymore with Discord as stable as it is.

TeamSpeak costs money. Discord is free unless you want emojis.

Yea we know...

I still believe ski only pays for TS to try to maintain some level of power in that guild before Dan completely takes it over.

Discord is completely free, seamlessly works on mobile, provides file transferring and screen sharing, has bots to run and regulate rooms as all as play music.

My only complaint is the randomized URLs for invites instead of a static name you can search like vox had. If you're not already on discord you're missing out.

I mean you can make a permanent link that doesn't expire for macros and stuff. Close enough imo

We use the RoR Official Meme Channel: #general
but apart from that we also have our Discord. All the cool kids have one these days. :D
