Sy but what use this skill have in group play? Seriusly 4 attack dmg return?! Cuz enemy don't have guards and hot up? Also 30 sec CD ?......

-Something need to attack you , and this is a first problem
-Not more than 1 need to attack you because dmg dispersion...and that's a second problem
-block don't work from back and ib have enough block from mid mastery ( 13 pt skill wasted).
- can be probably be waste on blocking guard ( not tested)

Well comparing to what other tanks have, oathstone definitely sux, but it has its uses and fun playing gimpy stone tree builds. For proper organized WB play definitely no.

Great for killing rdps who try to NB rotation you.
Also great for PvE, a lifesaver for Gunbad Bosses.

Absolutely rubbish in large scale, then again so is Elite Training.

Elite training give disrupt aswell it can be better due 360 degree and dening higher dmg spell, it also regen ap to whole group which is better than splash dmg. And it also is a lower pt skill. Oathstone would need a rewamp cuz as it stand now all the dmg returning skill got toned down and i dont belive they get buffed again.

Youre right on its position in the tree though, its higher and overall offers less group utility in comparison.

And work on dark protector too if in 30 feet, torque rework long ago, it is good vs wl burst indeed.

IB as a whole needs serious QoL changes.

My main problem with running Oathstone is that it is too far up the tree to be worth taking as a Pug or in the usual suboptimized order wb that has too few tanks and heals to begin with. I go Stone up to Shield Mastery but after that its time to go to Brotherhood for earthshatter, heal-debuff, runic shield, or GnM, or to get Ancestor's Fury out of Vengeance tree. Sure there could a be niche use for it but for most builds at lower levels you should try to branch into brotherhood. At rr 60+ a build that goes up to Oathstone and also brings Runic Shield, Punishing Knock, and earthshatter would be a pretty good one to run as SnB, if you really want to bring oathstone.
