m8 I've been leveling my lowbie kotb in rvr over past 3 days, so far during last 3 days I've won Gold bag in T3 giving Subju shield, Gold bag in T2 giving Genesis, Purple in T3 giving genesis, Blue in T3 giving Warrant or something, and another Gold T2 Genesis... all you have to do is participate actively in RvR, hit BOs, hit keeps, kill people.
Maybe tomorrow I'll ding 40.
It isn't even just luck. You just participate actively in RvR, play from zone opening until zone locks, and if your party has done lot of RvR which gives nice renown, you have good chances of winning bags.

Nothing new here.

Here's what I've found and what everyone who consistently places top 5 does listed in importance based on my expierence.
>you must be in the zone from the very beggining, even 15 or 30 minutes late you chances go down the gutter, and do not ever take a scenario, it's cutting into time you could be getting zone contribution
>focus on kills near objectives, tag everything with AoE death blows p r o b a b l y don't matter just damage contribution and if you are a healer/tank your healing and guard on those players in your group doing damage.
>Taking BOs and running supplies. While obvious, you must constantly be doing this or getting kills. Do not sit near wc for 10 minutes aimlessly, do not try to fight a force much larger than yours if you can't score kills. Ex: don't play push pull at MS or KP for 15 minutes, go find an guarded BO, go run supplies, or find a skirmish you can handle.
Do this and you'll notice yourself scoring higher. Also if you are pugging you want to be in a group with 2 rdps. If you want to go full scumbags mode be the pug warband leader and toss 3 sorcs 2 healers and a tank or additional rdps in your group for maximum gainz.

All of these issues could be solved with a simple token system inside the bag, like Ruin. Everyone receives a white bag so the feeling of progress is there (even if incredibly slow)
Contribution with a system like that is a lot less important. Yes you could win bigger tokens or even a gold bag but at least, even green and white bags have something interesting and more importantly, useful inside them

Sure, will just take the medal drops out of rvr then, because those are your 'token' drops and green and white bags have plenty useful in them.
Medals would still be important as a currency. They could be used for the RvR weapons for example. Cosmetics, Potions, Different sets in the future maybe (an offensive set from RvR imo, it's much needed)
Alternatively only some pieces of gear could be purchased with the tokens, to give more value to the medals. And let's be real. If you've played more than 3-4 days on a character, white bags and green bags will be completely useless to you.
A token system like that is especially needed for Gold, Purple and White Bags, because dropping a Gold or Purple bag and see that you've dropped the same piece of gear you dropped the last time, it's one of the most frustrating things that can happen after playing since the beginning, and trying to reach your best contrib possible. Oh, so you've been in this zone for 6hrs and won a gold bag? Grats, now go and trash your 3rd set of Conqueror Boots. A token that lets you buy the piece you need is the best thing that could ever happen.
The same can be said about Purple bags. Maybe still keep the weapons RnG, since apparently SO many in the server love rng, but have the choice of taking a purple token, so the next couple of purple bags you win can give you the possibility of taking a Conqueror set item.
As for white bags, the items in there are so unremarkable that i can't even remember what's inside them...
And please, don't be so aggressive when you answer to posts. I just stated my opinion (damned opinions) and gave an idea that could have some success if refined, I haven't said anywhere that the medals would be removed.

Just remove the whole bag system or remove the items in the bag and just give the medallions. This would stop the complaints.

Would most definetly take the pain out of winning white bags almost every time I get 1st contribution, while some random guy with 2 kills that has spent the entire zone running supplies takes the gold.

Would that be your decision or would it need to be discussed? Who gets the final say on what system is used?

Maybe you should run supplies too, while they are still in game
