All it does is breaking classes for other formats when trying to ballance for it.
What would you use for balance instead? 24vs24?

The same can be said regarding the approach that balancing should be based on WB scale.
OT: If SM's/BO's had a long range punt in their toolkit it would rival effectiveness of the kotbs/sm and cho/bo setup; even if said long range punt would be a 13 point mastery tree ability. This is ofc unacceptable. One thing I liked ALOT regarding the melee dok/wp changes done in 2016 was that it brought with it the viability of IB/BG into a meta setup.

Dok + Shaman/Zeal >>>>> Dok x2
Chosen + BO >>>>>> Chosen x2
Mara + Choppa >>>>>> Choppa x2
IB + KotBS >>>>>>> IB x2
And so and so and so and so...

Isn't it already so? I mean there are like half a hundred games out there where your teamsize is 4-8 players versus similar opposing team sizes; but this is perhaps one of the few games where 24 v 24 teamfights actually occur. Not to mention ORVR is all about warband management and realmwide cooperation; scs on the other hand are about optimising your boisband.
A lot of the AoE, resist caps, morales, morele pumps, morale removals, large scale CC, AoE debuffs, AoE buffs, aren't they for that 24v24 stuff? If the game was just about 6v6, there would be hardly any need for all that AoE stuff.
Then again, the game is quite a mess, where balance SHOULD occur on different levels, not solely on 24v24, not solely on 12v12, nor solely on 6v6, but it should also take into consideration even smaller scale, and leave no scale of things completely out of balance. It's complicated.

The formats thats actually being played by more then 1% of the population which is Open RVR and 12v12. 24v24 arn't even in the game atm and 6v6 is a modulated format.

How many 6mans are there vs active & coordinated 24man groups in RoR atm?
12v12 isn't a thing, we both know that. Unorganised 12v12 scenarios don't equate to jack all. There's no such thing as a competitive 12man.

How mane players are doing RVR compared to 6v6.
How many players are doing scenarios compared to quing for 6v6.
You que up for SC as a 6 man 99% of the time you gonna get 12v12 weaher what comp you face is irrelevant. If something is overpeforming or underpowered in this format nomather if you have premade or not is what you should base the ballance around. Just like a warband goin out you don't know if you gonna face a super cordinated 12 man or 48 pugs. But if 3 classes fills all dps spots, healers and tanks you know there is balance issues. And if some classes arn't represented at all thats another ballance issue.
And TenTon you were in Beta right? Don't you remember all Dwarfs and Greenskin Gates of Ekerund and how you needed to wait in que for it outside the entrance?

I wish there were a competitive 24v24 scene.

As it is, some classes are really not wanted in big WB fights, as some classes have more or less laughable AoE skills available for them.

This forum was in dire need of a decent racial group/warband blog post. Nevertheless it should have been opened in one of the according sub-forums:
https://returnofreckoning.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=55 or
https://returnofreckoning.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=72 instead of the general forum.
