Hmm, I can't target someone via grp UI, who drops the bomb, while standing at bomb spawn.

You mean by clicking at the player or by selecting him with hotkey? Hotkey should work. Sadly, only for own group. Thats why I asked this question in another thread (still no answer :cry: ): viewtopic.php?f=66&t=19418

Never tried it this way, because I have no buttons left and my F-keys are for morals :) but it seems that the fact that it is still possible via key command is the true issue. Clicking heal targets on enemy or any other unit frame tells you "out of range" and visually you can't see them anymore.

To be fair Arbich has a point, i dont run any addons that show the target range but there have been many a time where i have been far far away from the group member who im spamming i'll take that lifetaps on, usually kiting when outnumbered and the tank has been CC perma snared,kb,rooted etc and is in the distance somewhere.

What he means is that you can target someone via keyboard shortcuts on distances, where click targeting with addons doesn't work.

ok, I did a range test (thanks to guinea pig coldass :D )

the max range for balance essence heal (respectively to switch defensive target) was ca. 825 ft, but the range check seems somewhat delayed. When you ran out of max. range and step 1 ft back, you aren´t within range. Instead you must around 60ft back to regain the ability to switch target. But then you can again run these 60 ft away.

Chars usually blend out visually at what, 200ft? :D

I think heal range should be locked for lifetaps at a range equal to click targeting via UI.

As long as it didn't also require LOS that sounds reasonable.

The only LOS it should require is to your offensive target. But yeah, over 800ft is absurd.

That is ridiculous range, maybe post on the bugtracker how its possible to do so.
