Found one too ,was in a remote spot were players go very rare so he was bothering no one, so I hit some deathblows to his mob ,like 3 times ,last was a Storm-Courser's drop ,I smoked a pipe ,drank a pint of beer and on me way, no complains no hysterical screams, everyone happy ,me the most.

Did botting programs exist in 1.4.8? I thought they stopped being supported a while before? If anyone has info PM me!

It'll be AHK. Nothing you can do its an external program. I used it when I was trying to get the dragon cloak after I realised it was going to be days of farming. Saw multiple people doing it on those dragons so its nothing new.

I bought 4x +10 intel rings of the AH last week for 4g from the same character. Had 7 listed. With the drops so low and the lists nothing like official there was no way I was going to be grinding them at that rate. Better to buy them from the bots.

My opinion is deal with botters as fast as u can before it gets out of hand, set an example that botting is not allowed, strip all chars on accounts with same IP. By not doing anything about it you just invite more ppl to bot.

I doubt the price would change much and tbh the player botting would be the only player gaining. A few bots would not make much difference but if its seen as acceptable when do you call it a problem ? when everyone has an account set up to bot ? when there are 5 bots 24/7 on lair bosses ? need stop that **** before it gets out of hand and at very least ban bot account and strip all chars/account who use the same ip.

agree with morf, once you let ppl bot to farm, then its botting to lvl, then we start getting the bots for renwon farming like at the end of the game.

I know few families where people play WAR together from the same IP, but different computers. I think they will thank you for your well thought out idea.

Worse are university IP. I've been locked out of games before when our halls ip was banned. Had to play through a proxy.

There must be a way to flag if 2 characters have been on 30hrs and farmed each other 20k times. It not hard to spot a farmer. The account sellers used to do it on the mountains before you come to butchers pass. Just inside rvr to get the bonus. They would get hit once jump to death so there was no kill spam then another would res them back up. Endlessly all day.

I knew the way to exploit some rocks to jump up there and would go kill them now and then.

It is well thought out. If someone is botting chances are they are doing it from an alt account, by only banning the bot account u allow the person to keep all gains from botting, in other words they pay no price for it and just create a new account to bot on. If u strip all chars using the same ip you are sending out a message, dont bot or pay the price, if a family member who doesn't bot gets caught in the crossfire chances are the botter is not going to do it again.

Unless you are botting I would see no reason to be concerned, it wouldnt affect u right ?
If you have a better idea feel free to explain.
