Truth is I have stopped worrying about it. Since the applicable patch I have placed first highest contribution in a zone, second highest twice, and in the top ten numerous times. I have yet to win either a gold or purple bag, and won a blue bag only once. But that gave me a piece of Genesis gear I already had, so it was a wash.

So I stopped caring. Eventually I will get enough medallions to buy a piece of conqueror gear or two, but until then I just play the game.

Goals I've completed for testing:

Placement: 45th Position.

Reward: NOTHING! :cry:


At other times I tested do nothing, just walk with WB as in the first test but do not attack, do not defend, do not pick up feature, do not be on the attack of the first and second door and just be on Hero in overrum.

Result:

First roll = 495 ;)
Second roll = 475 ;)

Total: 970
Placement: 4th Position.

Reward: Blue bag. :lol:
Only one purple bag rolled.

I'm not saying that I've done enough to stay in first, but it's clear that this system does not work right and that's frustrating since this Hero system has super HP and monstrous defense makes the zones take a long time to flip.

The figures quoted may vary little, nothing that could interfere with the final result.
First, I sympathize with you. I really do. I wrote A LOT about this subject but here is the "official" response:

So thats that. We are the players, we play the game they want to make. We are lucky to have ROR at all. I can think of ways that I think would improve the game, but its not my game, or yours.

Yea the current System is crap, took a break from RoR, for a year, been back only two months, and it's almost time to take another break.

Loot on Lord kill. successful keep Def, or atleast, a Def tic , medallions on lock etc.

As it is now you have people not defending bos, not really helping at the keep, just killing solo players, while they run supplies,

spaming region about what's Lord % so they can get to the keep and hit Lord for 5 or 10 % of HP, then back to running supplies. /Yawn

Whats funny is if people were defending BOs, were helping and doing everything then they would be getting much more contribution, whoever thinks that just kills/deathblows lets you stack up contribution is woefully misinformed.

and yes the rng roll is here to stay

Exactly These!! As i sad before two times from beginning in a zone two times highest kills in zone!! And i take some bos and i deffed some bos and a run a few supllies ( not many But a few). I attacked The lord. And i was place 17 before Rng roll comes!!! That means kills are NOT the Thing to get the highest contribution. Highest kills is NOT place one before roll! And i will bet of ppl would exactly know how contribution works orvr will ne dead! Cause there will be ways to abuse it

The truth is that for me the system does not have a formula, it does not work properly, or as the Devs would like. This story of not reporting how he leads his participation sounds very suspicious.

Yesterday at Caledor I was again helping in everything I could and in the end I did not win anything at all, while my friend who arrived practically just for the flip got a purple bag, if he wants in a group he was, and see that he rolled 600 in contribution.

I know the Devs' work is difficult, even more for free, but I think in this particular case the players are getting more and more away from War.

How about opening a dialogue with the players, a topic with specific suggestions for this subject? It does not matter to last one or five months to implement, but that is something simple, fun, no heavy farm and done with the participation of players.

Dude the roll is100% Rng you can be place 1 for Best contribution ever and roll a 10 an be place 167! Get it.... Contribution Just give you a Bonus to youre roll like i dont know exactly But As example you have place 6 contribution and get a Bonus from 50 points you roll a 100 so you have 150 points. Another Player has taken one bo is place 120 and get no Bonus points. He rolled a 700 and are place 12 thats how it works. That means high contribution Just higher youre Chance to get something. If one Player roll a 700 and you roll a 700 But you have higher contribution with Bonus points you have The higher points

Without Zone lock like the old def or attack system, defenders would simply log out after keep has fallen, or directly before keep goes down to dont give the other side RR.

That felt wrong.

Current System let you fight till the zone lock. As Attacker or Defender.
So stop whining about the loot rolls. Get your medallions.
Hint, for some classes best set is the Sc one. ;)

Nearly that what i sad on Another Post. I rly Vote for dont give rewards for locks execpt renown! All items obtainable via medallion seals what ever

Yea I posted in a thread about the loot roll, so my Fk up,

Don't really care about what gives contribution, I don't care for the current RvR system,

if you notice I stated loot on Lord kill, defense ticks, possible loot on successful keep Defense as in a door being closed that was down etc. Pretty much what we had a year ago, except the Def. tick thing was exploited. Since it was rewarding bags while doors were still up,

The stupid supplies reminds me I f the Resource carrier crap from live. And the 5 + hours to lock a zone is a bit much.
